El Patron Downtown Riverside

I wasn't given an opportunity to eat because the workers were terrible and unexpectedly rude. We came in yesterday with a large group after a funeral. There were at least 20 of us maybe 30 and we understood that it was a large group and were thankful they could accommodate us. There is a large room in back that was empty and the hostess sat us in there. Then it went bad. We were told we all had to be on the same bill. So we asked if we sit at different table can you group us like that to pay by table? They said no and if we don't like it we can leave. It was the woman behind the bar with blond hair that was the worst. Honestly it felt like they didn't want to work. They would rather lose the at least $1000 they would have received. I honestly can hardly believe it, imagine a restaurant telling us we can leave? It's surreal.

The waitresses don't have much
experience and service leaves much to be desired

Food was amazing! Service was mediocre simply because it was a holiday and very busy, so can't really blame them! Definitely going back!

Went to this place last night and I could tell you it really has gone downhill. For the price of the plates, I would have expected better cooked food. One thing I noticed was they tip themselves a 20% gratuity and also charge a credit card fee equivalent to 4% and expect you to come in with an additional tip. Won't be going back to this place.

If you get a chance to go here, sit at the bar. It is a show watching the gentleman making the drinks. We arrived early before the party and sat there. Food was awesome, we had the nachos the whole table was eating them before our food came. We were a large party. 17 of us. The service was AWESOME!!!!!

Unfortunately the music game-a-fication with the Ami app got ruined by the staff choosing which music got played low and which got blasted. Definitely not Democratic, maybe American Democracy. Which ruins any atmosphere. The worst thing was waiting for 1hr 20mins to get food lol, I can see they’re all working hard. Cause when we got up to leave the food came out. At least we had time to Christmas shop online.

If I could leave a 0 star review I would. Arriving to the establishment there was no host to seat us nor tell us wait time. We ended up seating at the bar. Bartender was very slow to attend us. We ordered appetizers thinking we would get it sooner than the entrees but both the entrees and appetizers took about 1 1/2 for them to come out. We let the staff know about the bad experience and they led us to the restaurant owner. Once speaking to the owner and letting him know our concerns he was extremely rude and under the influence. He said it wasn’t his fault that it was his staff’s fault. He raised his voice several times after we were being respectful to him. We paid our bill and he then proceeded to go behind the bar and take more shots.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! Please don’t ever come eat here if you wanna waste so much time of your life waiting on food… Came in eager to eat and waited 2 hours to be given the food. I’m a patient person and don’t really complain but the wait time was a joke not even exaggerating, wasnt even busy so no excuse

Waited 40 mins to get a table, it took them over 30 minutes to get our drinks from the bar. We got our food before we had our drinks. made us wait 30 minutes on apple juice for the kids. At the end, they told us they didn’t have any juice and only offered water. We didn’t get our tortillas for our platter. I had requested sour cream and hot sauce and I never got them, the music was way too loud to hold a conversation, our waitress was not professional and never apologized for any inconvenience. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all, the food was alright, I would never come back to this place again, honestly I was disappointed. A really bad experience

We were sat down we were not offered water, chips salsa for ar least 15 minutes. Another couple was sat down after us and was given chips and salsa after they were sat. We had to ask for ours. It still took another 15 minutes before they asked for our orders. Food was decent. Portion for the chili colorado was ridiculous for the price expected more meat in it. Serer was nice and polite but the time it took to be serviced was not good at all.
