We love the chicken katsu here. It was moist and fried to perfection. Their BBQ chicken was also tasty. We had the combination platter and the BBQ beef was the only item that was forgettable. I've been to two Ono locations and they seem to be consistent. Prices are reasonable and I enjoy their food more than L&L. This was a no frills restaurant. The self serve sauces (katsu and teriyaki) were also delicious. Stay away from the guava pie. It was like a fat pop tart which I hate. I had hoped it would be a warm pie like at Jolibee, McDonald's or KFC with guava filling but it was a prepackaged room temperature dry and unpleasant pop tart with some guava jam.

This is our 1st negative experience with ONO Hawaiian. We are loyal customers, often eating ONO 3times a month. We went for our usual order, 1 chicken plate, 1 beef plate and 1 side of island fire. The full plates were delicious, down very welll. The Island fire on the other hand was nasty and it came empty, with no veggies on the bottom except 1 broccoli. It had a very old, left over taste. The oil taste was very prominent and nasty, like it was a few days old. Sadly had to to throw it out.

Good food, fast. Great place for sitting for a few minutes and just slowing down and watching the people pass. Love the fresh taste of the what is served.

A good place to get Chicken Katsu when you have the inclination.
