have you ever heard of wet tempura? me neither. I expected taro tempura with my duck dinner entree and instead found the potatoes to be minus the batter and weren't deep fried. Ooka's manager maintained that this was "wet tempura" -- which I can't find in a google search. She offered no remedy because they did nothing wrong (how about bad business practice, for starters). So if you want tempura that is deep fried, ask first!

I normally prefer here over Benihana‘sYesterday I went and I always get the same thing, filet mignon chicken and chicken fried rice.Well, long story short, the chicken was not done inside my fried rice. It was wiggly and chewy. I didn’t wanna say it at the table in front of everybody and that was my first item that was on my plate so I got up and went and got the manager and ask for another rice to be made. They brought me out another rice, and the chicken still wasn’t done ? I get the chicken fried rice all the time I’ve never had this problem. So my meal was incomplete because I had to eat my food with no rice. Like everybody gets charged an automatic 18% gratuity. We were only a party of two. And that’s fine I don’t mind giving 18% but let’s make sure drinks are being refilled and food has been cooked right…. My chicken and steak for my meal were delicious. But the chicken fried rice horrible. The meats were the last part cooked so that’s why my chicken that was part of my meal was all the way cooked. The rice was made first then the noodles, then the vegetables than the meats…. But the meats were put on the grill off to the side ahead of time, so we’re cooking slowly the entire time.I was the only one out of the group in the table that got chicken fried rice, and that was the first thing he made was everybody’s fried rice. He was too quick to try to move onto the next item to make sure that my chicken was done. So you would’ve thought that Manager would’ve made sure he told the people in the back make sure this chicken. Grilled and completely cooked For the rice so I gave them back to full bowls of chicken fried rice… HORRIBLE you can’t automatically charge everybody almost 20% gratuity and operate like that. Let’s do better have the food cooked properly and the drinks refilled promptly.

Been here for dinner and a few times for their lunch specials. Their sushi is good and love their sea bass lunch special. Atmosphere is very nice and not too loud in the dining area away from the teppanyaki. The teppanyaki is very entertaining and also good. Also love sitting at the sushi bar. It’s a relaxing atmosphere with good food. Wish I had pictures but posting this review a few months after our visits.

Celebrated our anniversary here the other night. Food was okay considering that I'm not a sushi person (non raw for me) but my wife enjoyed herself and liked the sushi she ordered. The service was good but expected at 4:30ish in the afternoon as it wasn't busy yet. I guess the only real issue was the mandatory gratuity of 18%. It just doesn't sit well with me. Probably won't go again as the over all atmosphere wasn't that great for the price. But if you like something different and a forced tip then this is a place for you.

I've only gone to the restaurant side, not the hibachi, and the food is always delicious. I get the sashimi combo every time, and the fish is really fresh. They give you fresh fried rice and so many extras with it.

Sushi and presentation was great. Our waiter Bryan was also great. But the entire restaurant is so dirty. The bathrooms were gross, all of the decorations throughout had sooo much dust on them. The light fixture above us at our table was incredibly dusty like it had never been cleaned. I've never been to a sushi restaurant that dirty and probably won't return.
Extremely expensive for overly salty basic food. We made reservations for a party of five and were seated right away. Total price $171.63. That was for two children who ordered chicken, two orders of shrimp and one order of scallops.

I ordered takeout from this sushi restaurant in the early afternoon and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too busy. The restaurant is nestled in a busy shopping center with ample parking. The establishment was clean and had a trendy feel. The woman who took my order was friendly, kind, and gave great sushi recommendations. The sushi and fish were incredibly fresh and delicious. I will definitely be ordering takeout from here again. Highly recommend.

Great service and although Jill was a new waitress and was training she WAS MARVELOUS! Tuna tar tar was fresh! Omg and the cook shut down our deluxe seafood dinner! Cooked it to perfection! $20 tip for just for him wonderful night! Great location and great job Ooka !

We had reservations and we were able to be seated within moments of arriving at the restaurant which was nice. Our chef was fantastic although he was a bit heavy-handed with the soy sauce. We ordered our drinks and our food, and the chef came out very quickly to prepare everything. Nice atmosphere, just need to tone down the salt and let the grill do the heavy lifting.

First time Chef was amazing. Only recommendation is they need Yum Yum sauce and also more waitresses because appetizers were almost late as the food was already being cooked and we had to request the appetizers and we had to request our receipts. Other than that you can ask for extra garlic and butter on all your steak!! If they get Yum Yum Sauce we will be returning on a regular basis!! Three and a half stars!
