[Please forgive the late post as I'm catching up on YEE/YEW reviews] For years, I've passed by and heard of Cafe Sevilla and never had a chance to step in and dine at until this event. We were seated upstairs in a dimmed yet cozy space and treated to Sangria and a selection of tapas including Bacon-wrapped Dates, Brussels Sprouts, Patatas Bravas, Ahi Tuna Crudo, Paella, and Jamon. Chef Raymond informed us about the process, origin, and import price! of the Jamon, which brought back memories of trying it in Spain in my youth. Big thanks to Hayley H. and to the staff of Cafe Sevilla for hosting us. I've unfortunately learned that not long after the YEE, the business closed. Despite that news, it's good to know that there are multiple locations elsewhere around SoCal that have hosted other YEEs and are still open to visit.

Poor Service, The workers here treat you like infants , wont even look you in the eye when talking to you , false advertising , the people inside are even more rude , shoving you out of the way , while calling you explicit names. Speakers downstairs sound blown out, not worth the money or time

We went to Sevilla Cafe at Riverside for their brunch special on a Sunday last year, and we had a great experience! The food was delicious, we even enjoyed their desserts, the place was not too crowded and on top of that, our waitress was wonderful! I highly recommend this place for Sunday brunch.

Very unique and delicious food. My daughter really enjoyed that place and took us when we were in town.

Heard that they closed - big loss, will miss it. After the shooting at the night club the City placed restrictions on their conceptual use permit. Sad - great restaurant being supported by a night club.

This nightclub is not worth going to. Staff are extremely disrespectful and could care less about their customers. They need proper training especially the security and the other staff that stands outside the club. The club is super small and the Dj plays the same songs over and over

This was a fun yelp event and I'm glad that I got to go. The food was delicious. We started off with the bacon wrapped dates and I'm not a fan of dates but this was delicious. I love how it was caramelized. Next we got the brussel sprouts and it was my favorite. Some people got some that were a little soggy but I thought mine was the perfect amount of softness to crunch ratio. The ahi tuna was great because I love the way they paired the pineapple with it. The potatoes were good but I was getting a little full at this point so I didn't get to finish everything. The paella was amazing I loved all the flavors. Lastly, we had the jamon. I really wanted to love this but I think the fact that the chef explained to me that it just sits out in the open made me feel some type of way before eating it and it affected how I felt about it. I definitely can't wait to be back to try other items on the menu.

Cafe Sevilla has been on my "to-do" list for at least a few months now, so I was really excited when I saw this YEE come up and really had my hopes up. I was not disappointed. This place was ka-yoot! Loved the vibe. It's actually pretty spacious considering the looks from the outside. Had no idea there would be an upstairs dining area too. I'm assuming there's some dancing that goes on up there because there appeared to be a dj booth of some sort also. We were greeted by Hayley and the marketing manager of Sevilla who got started right away with handing out the sangrias. Yes please, spank you very much. That's how I like to get anything started. At our tables, there was the usual yelp swag but also a cd with sounds from Sevilla which I thought was a nice personal touch. The tapas started making their way out and they were good! The bacon date was my favorite. I wish there were more! I'll just have to come back. What was really special about this event was that the chef and staff really took their time to explain the background of every single food item to us: what it was and why it was on the menu (how it related to Spain). It was a really informative time! The highlight of the evening was at the end when they brought out the gorgeous paella and we had a food lesson on jamon iberico and just how special it is. All in all, a wonderful event! Not only did we get delicious food, but we left knowing more about Spain as well. I've spent about 6 weeks in Spain and am absolutely in love with everything about the culture and food, so this was a very nice way to tap into some nostalgia for me. :) Thanks Hayley and Sevilla crew! Can't wait to come back with my husband. :)

The Tapas Tour at Cafe Sevilla was -- ¿cí³mo se dice en Espaí±ol ... "splendid"?! And what a wonderful experience to dine with fellow Yelp Elites! ¡La comida era deliciosa (the food was delicious)! Upon arrival, we were escorted to the upstairs loft where we were greeted by Hayley and Holly (Head of Marketing for Cafe Sevilla locations). We were all given a glass of sangria to start our evening. Chef Raymond P. gave us an introduction on the culinary adventure we were about to experience. Like he explained, dining at Sevilla's was like "Spain without the airfare!" It was a pleasure to be in his presence because he is a classically-trainer Maestro Cortador. He described each dish, it's origin, the ingredients that went into it, and let us taste it for ourselves. From the first tapas to the last, everything was ¡muy rico! My personal favorites were the Ahi Tuna Tartare Tower Crudo, Paella Valenciana, and the Jamon Iberico. Hayley did an incredible job with this event! I really enjoyed the staff, the food, and the cool Yelp swag! Thank you, Cafe Sevilla, Holly, Chef Raymond, and Hayley! ¡Muchas gracias!

I have seen this place many times from the freeway and was glad I got a chance to sample some dishes here. We got our badge tonight and was greeted with sangria. The sangria was sweet and well balanced with apples (and a hint of nutmeg and cinnamon as I was told). Next we had grilled Brussel sprouts with garlic aoli, then raw ahi tuna (I like this best), spicy potatoes with tomatoes (not too spicy, just the right amount of heat), paella (it was delicious like the one I had in Spain) and lastly the jamon (aged to perfection). Our check in gift was a cute notebook! Thank you Hayley and Seville for a fun event!

This was a great event, thank Hayley! Even though it was a rainy night it proved to be worth the trip. Cafe Sevilla is a quaint little spot tucked into a corner right off the 91, so easy access and decent parking. The evening featured a variety of tastings of Cafe Sevilla's signature tapas. We were welcomed by Haley and Holly, the marketing director for their 3 locations, with a glass house made Sangria. The tastings for the night were in individual portions and their Maestro Cartador (master carver) Raymond explained each of their dishes and their roots and how the geography of Spain plays into the Spanish cuisine. The night was topped by a five senses experience of slice of the jamí³n ibérico. This event was awesome in that I found a new go to in Riverside, and I'm already booking my ticket to visit Spain! Well done

What a lovely evening with wonderful people! I'd like to preface that I've been to Cafe Sevilla in San Diego and it was nothing like the experience we got to have this evening. Thank you Chef Raymond on educating us on the different dishes and sharing the details of the ingredients and their Spanish origins. The place itself is beautiful on the inside with a warm welcome from the host. Additionally, it's always a nice perk to begin the evening off with a glass of sangria. Great job Hayley in coordinating and putting together this awesome event! The food was amazing! My faves of the night were the Paella Valenciana, Ahi Tuna Tartare Crudo, and Jamon Iberico. I'm dreaming of having the Jamon Iberico again...as I wipe the drool off my face lol. Chef Raymond was engaging and pleasant to talk to when we had questions about the dishes that were presented. It was also mesmerizing to watch him slice the Jamon Iberico. I guess cutting it is a science? Overall, great event and it was great seeing new and familiar faces!

Thank you Hayley and yelp for putting together this event!! This was my first time at this restaurant. I had seen this place on yelp before and checked out the menu, but never made the drive to come here. This place was really easy to find and having parking next to the establishment made it so convenient. The atmosphere was great at this restaurant. The upstairs had couches where you could sit with your friends and a nice big bar. The food we tried was really good. My favorite was the ahi tuni and the jamon iberico. I really liked the paella too. When I come back next time, I want to make sure to try the socarrat. Also, the sangria was on point. It had great flavor while keeping its strength. Overall, this was a really fun event and all the yelpers were nice and friendly to talk to!!
