Based on the reviews, Habit Burger & Grill is a chain burger place located on campus that is always packed. The atmosphere is pretty good, and they have microwaves for bringing own food, though seating can be limited. The location is fully wheelchair accessible, but parking requires an expensive campus pass, so a bike or walk is better. This location was a pre-COVID almost-daily habit because they never messed up vegetarian requests, unlike an off-campus location. However, in May 2025, the restaurant discontinued the Impossible Burger patty nationwide, which was the tastier vegetarian option. The vegan veggie patty retained tastes more like Gardenburger. A regular item was the colorful garden salad without onions with added avocado, but this was replaced with the Garden Ranch salad, which replaced healthy carrots with aged white cheddar. Other go-to items included a garden salad with a side of tempura green beans with ranch, and sriracha lime spicy green beans. Spring 2019 had garlic fries, and regular fries are good with salt. A secret menu item is the grilled cheese with added avocado and tomato, perfect with fries or tempura green beans. The vanilla malt is delicious but caused stomach upset for those with lactose intolerance. The Tropical Tea satisfies an iced tea addiction. Pre-COVID, the avo toast or sun-dried tomato pesto burrito were tasty vegetarian options. A major complaint is that the ranch is always half frozen and gross, needing management to fix this asap.
