Large space that is good for groups. Food is tasty with nice flavor combinations, but it too much for one person to finish, and doesn't reheat well. Bring a friend to split a meal!

Came on a Sunday and it was closed. NO hours were posted either and I am extremely disappointed. Please update your hours at least so I don't come expecting you to be open.

Came in at 9:05 am as it says it's opened at 9am. They weren't even open. Very unprofessional to have your hours stated and not stick to it. There was a cashier inside who disregarded me and my bf standing outside. The chairs were all put up and it was dim inside. It was obvious they weren't ready to open any time soon. Shame.

Very good waffles and food. I'm in love with their Green Eggs and Ham breakfast waffle. Apparently their pesto is home made! The nutella shake is thick since it's gelato it's not as sweet as I thought. I would only get it if I'm really craving it. I've been trying to come back and try more of their menu but every time I close they are closed. It says that they have different winter hours so they are only open from 9am-5pm but I just got here at 3:40pm and they were already putting chairs up. They also told me that they are closed now. I'm not sure if they got the memo but daylight savings is a thing here and the clock went back one hour. I saw their giant clock inside and saw it said 4:40pm but the actual time is 3:40. I don't know if it's a mistake or they are going to change their time and close at 4. This is the second time I've been wanting to eat here but they are closed. Sad because their waffles are very good and I want to try more.

4 stars for food 5 stars for price 1 star for the cashier who kept letting people cut our party to order because the individual(s) got there late and couldn't order with their party

Great new spot over by UCR. Much to my surprise I found out it's the same owner as Si Bon out in Palm Desert. Food quality is just as good and service was on point. These are the kind of new places Riverside needs! I had a breakfast waffle sandwich with fried chicken breast, bacon and eggs and my wife had the fish and chips. Both were executed well; fresh, fast and awesome flavors. Will be back!

This place is the worst at customer service in my opinion especially having been talked down to by the manager. The purpose of a promotion is to bring people in but to also be honored with any qualifying purchase. Today I went in and I was not given the opportunity to have the promotion offered to me after receiving my food. While I was eating, the promotion was brought up to a family that had arrived. I inquired about it because I also purchased a sandwich and thought that maybe I should have also been told about it. Albeit I could have seen the promotion but at the same time it's supposed to be expressed by the employees to promote a business. I was replied to with a smug, "You're only one person though". I don't think that matters because there are plenty of people I could have given the sandwich to. I though this would be an easy solution. However, the manager talked down to me as if I wasn't a customer. I felt degraded and disrespected. For a place that's still relatively new, they have to do much better than this. I left feeling bad about myself. The manager kept belittling me and questioning why I wanted the promotion. But why have it in the first place if you're going to be like that towards a frequent customer. This was a bad experience to say the least. I am hurt and offended. I received my sandwich after hearing him talk down to me. For being an advocate and suggesting this place to many people on campus and my apartments, I would expect better from them. Don't go here, especially if you don't want mediocre food. It's not worth the hassle. I personally am not returning my business and I suggest you all do the same. Don't support people who shame others, please. It wouldn't surprise me if he or the cooks got annoyed and did something to my food. Also the desserts and portions are honestly to inconsistent, please think twice before looking at this wanna be, not worth it location. Treat people with respect and don't discriminate others in such unhealthy ways. I thought this would be a simple solution but your customer service is absent and your employees need more training. Unprofessional and disrespectful to say the least. I am appalled.

The food here left a lot to be desired. I love chicken and waffles and have eaten it a lot. However, I do not like how it was executed here. I get that they are trying something unique, but I personally didn't like how the chicken was fried. It woulda been better if it were a thick juicy chicken, but it was thin and slightly dry. I prefer waffles that have a crispy outside and a fluffy inside, but this was straight up crispy. The chicken needed more flavor as well. In the end, I left not feeling full, but I am glad that the prices were pretty reasonable. On a more positive note, the service was very friendly and accommodating. The person at the front desk was very patient with me and my buddy as we were making our decision.

Very excited to see Yelp pop up with a recommendation for a new Belgian restaurant in my area. Being of Belgian decent I was very excited until I realized that the the cuisine is mostly known for mussels (gross), frites and waffles. I scratched my head and wondered how you make a whole menu around that, especially appealing to the college crowd that this restaurant was so close to. I checked the menu and DUH... Waffle Sandwiches, and of course frites! A friend and I had lunch here the other day and, while we ordered separately, we became aware that we ordered the exact same thing right down to the sauce on the side- Fried chicken and brussel slaw sandwich with frites and aioli (roasted garlic)! The waffle was light, but crispy, capable of holding the weight of the not too thin, not too thick perfectly fried chicken cutlet and the added volume the slaw gave the sandwich. The frites were fried perfectly and were a delicious match to the aioli. the food was good, service was a good mix of fast casual with somebody checking up on us, ambiance was nice and open and clean. I've been to couple waffle sandwich concepts before, and this place by far has done it the best. That's not to saw that the sandwich I had was amazing, but I did really enjoy it, and I look forward to trying a bunch of the other sandwiches on their menu!

So this is a nice little spot, visible from the street, with both inside seating and two small outside tables by the rock water feature. When you go I store there is an employee at a little front desk who will take your order then give you a little numbered placard so you can self seat wherever. Since we identified as never going there before the employee gave us a little rundown of the menu and what was deemed the more popular dishes. I love pesto so I went with the Green Eggs and Ham even though it is not the most popular. My husband ordered the Fried Chicken and Bacon. I ordered an ice tea and my husband just went with the free water that is self serve. The food came out in a reasonably fast time. Mine was delicious. Hands down I would order it every time, disclaimer though - you will have to eat fast as the pesto juices turn the waffle soggy. Husbands was "good". He said his probably would have been better if it was a fried chicken tender or thinner cut meat but due to the bulkiness of the cut they use it is hard to eat in conjunction with the waffle and bacon. Also his had stuff on it (in addition to the listed chipotle mayo) which made for a confusing taste. So only one star off for food. The second star off is based only on my ice tea. I am an ice tea snob. I don't drink soda so pretty much my life is tea. The tea I got that morning was not fresh, my bet was it was from yesterday since the place had just opened. People who drink tea will know what I'm talking about when I say it tasted old...it's almost like it gets a butter quality to it at that point. I'd be back - but I won't order tea.

Despite being located in one of the seemingly cursed spots in University Village (seriously, what's up with UV?), I think this place makes a great addition to the food selection in UV. My friend and I were greeted promptly upon entering and the person working on the register was very helpful with the menu and deciding on our orders. We decided to split the BBQ Pulled Pork and the Prosciutto Waffle Sandwiches. We then took our numbers to wait for our orders, it's open seating so there's no wait to get seated or anything (I think someone wrote they waited 10 minutes to get seated... I mean that sounds more like a them problem, be assertive and get someone's attention. Come on, guys.) The food seemed to come out after an appropriate amount of time. I really enjoyed both of the sandwiches. The waffle tasted fresh, warm, light and crispy. I preferred the BBQ Pulled Pork personally because it's more packed and the flavor stands out more, but both were delicious and my friend really liked the Prosciutto with Fontina Cheese. The Pulled Pork didn't seem all that saucy, but it actually moist and had good amount of sauce without being excessive and messy. We demolished the sandwiches pretty fast and I really wanted to try a dessert sandwich, so I ordered a Creme Brûlée and Berry sandwich (which appealed to me and was also recommended). That one came out even faster than the other sandwiches and I'm really glad I did order. It was amazing. The service throughout was good in my opinion. They checked up on us a good amount without being overbearing. Overall, I do recommend coming trying this place out and I do plan on returning to try more items on their menu!
