A large selection, but not much variety. Nothing to munch on until the food truck arrives. Only counter service which means waiting in line. When I asked for one on the board, they opened a can! Forget about it. There are better places in town.
What a wonderful place to sit and enjoy some beer.great beer with fun employees. Never had a bad time.
I left CA many years ago.... maybe I'm just accustomed to the friendly service in the South...
I expressed my ignorance of IPAs (the majority of their beers are IPAs) and what I think I like... it was NOT busy, and I wasn't holding up a line.
Instead of engaging me, asking questions, the moderately smug service was a turn-off.
I finally said, "You choose one for me. Just not Hoppy-Bitter."
Luckily, I did like the beers.
I come to Nor-Cal frequently from work. I had hoped this would become my "Cheers". There are so many more places to try where I hope the staff isn't annoyed by questions and where they are more engaging.
Great beer, great atmosphere ??
My girlfriend and I only visit breweries that serve flights as we enjoy sampling offerings instead of committing to a pint, and we were both excited to share a flight or two before seeing a movie at the Cinemark Century Blue Oaks Theatres.
After finding the only free parking spot in Moksa's small overcrowded parking lot which had an odd smell of garbage/urine, we went inside and waited in a line with 8–10 people ahead of us. Two people arrived after us and it was at this point that a male Moksa employee wearing skinny jeans and a hat placed a sign that said "only two drinks per person." The wait passed rather quickly and when it was our turn to order I asked the server (the same employee who placed the sign) for a flight since it that would have been two drinks for each of us. But the server pointed to the sign and said he's unable to sell flights at the moment. I pointed out that the customers currently at the bar immediately to the right of us had a flight in front of them, to which our server replied, "yes, but I placed that sign 15 minutes ago." It had not been even close to 15 minutes, maybe four minutes max.
My girlfriend and I absolutely despise places that claim to be breweries yet do not serve flights and give a very California excuse for not doing so, much like Moonraker in Cameron Park. How hard is it to serve a flight? It doesn't take that much longer to pour, and my girlfriend and I had already decided what we wanted while waiting in line. Besides, if there are people waiting, they simply need to wait. Moksa shouldn't offer a lesser experience because it is busy.
The server asked if he could get us anything else, but we don't want to support that kind of business so we walked out and looked up other nearby breweries. In the interest of time we visited Shred brewery since it was close, and enjoyed a flight before heading over to Cinemark for our movie.
Needless to say, Moksa has been added to our boycott list, along with Target, Moonraker in Cameron Park, San Francisco, etc. I have no patience for the typical weird California practices and excuses that do not make any sense, and I refuse to give them our business.
If you enjoy flights and don't want to chance a lame excuse by skinny jeans, choose another brewery, not Moksa.
Not the best vibe, not family unfriendly.
Nice brewery had choice of 3 darks and 2 sours in addition to other types of beer. Seems to also keep a food truck nearby. Darks of good quality, smooth. Sours tangy but with enough fruit flavor there too. Good atmosphere.
Great service and nice atmosphere. The beers are good, but they don’t have the greatest variety of beers, particularly darker beers.
I've been to Moksa four times now. They do a great job on their beers, especially their stouts which are all around excellent. The staff has always been helpful and knowledgeable. The only downside to Moksa is that they don't do growlers and crowlers are only available for a handful of their beers. But with great beers and decent decor the place is a definite winner.
Beyond the inside being slapped together and feeling dirty, the customer service was one of the worst I’ve experienced. The bartender had a bad attitude for no damn reason. Interrupted and spoke over me, refused to answer simple and common questions. Clearly don’t care about the customer, or ultimately, their business. I’d rather give business to anywhere else. So many other great brewery options in the area.
Go to yelp and look at all of their horrible reviews.

Best pour in Sacramento. Thank you Cory and the rest of the staff here at Moksa. Had a great time at the game night meeting new friends. Appreciate the hospitality. Till next time
Been going to Moksa for years. I love it there. Great atmosphere and even better bear. Their new orangesicle slush is amazing!
Great brewery with food trucks
Good beers, friendly staff, good environment and usually food trucks here too!
Amazing beer and environment and they often have a food truck. I haven't dug deep into the food truck cuz I don't eat a lot but when I have tried it has been good.
