Unorganized, I RSVP’d to their bluey event and upon arrival there was no place to sit. I figured reserving guaranteed a seat but apparently not. It a cute idea, the bar was decorated and they were playing bluey on all the TVs. my daughter would have loved to meet bluey but we left before she arrived because there was nowhere to sit. I think instead of having first come first serve, it should be RSVP first after that there should be a max amount of people. I’m pretty sure the amount of people was well over fire code. Along with planning the food wait time was over 50mins, a head count should have offered more intel on how much food to prepare.
Painkillers used to have a great system where you could reserve your lunch spot ahead of time for the character experiences. That was the whole reason I planned my visit when I did. They now say you can “reserve a spot,” but you’re not actually reserving anything. All you’re really doing is giving them a head count. It’s disappointing, especially since I’ve recommended them to so many people and came here specifically to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. I really hope they get more organized in the future. Until there’s proper confirmation that the reservation system is actually a reservation, I won’t be returning.
Wanting to try a new place, walked in and never once was acknowledged, no hello welcome in, nothing. Staff just left us standing for 10 mins and nothing. Horrible service.

My wife and I brought our daughter here for their bluey meet and greet.
There was no organization at all and not nearly enough seating for the turnout.
Their “food” was reheated frozen chicken tenders and potato chips. We ordered the buffalo chicken ranch fries and it was cut up low quality frozen tenders over unseasoned frozen fries and drenched in what I can only assume is just franks hot sauce and a very very dill ranch for $15. The only flavor was dill and the texture is exactly what you expect for poorly reheated frozen rubbery chicken. We sent it back.
This venue is probably great if you’re going for just a beer on tap, but they should not be holding these kinds of events or serving food.

New to the area and Ava was our server! Gave us exceptional customer service while letting us try some of the local favorites! Overall she set us up with some pints that we loved! Definitely will be coming back!!

Painkillers puts on some great family-friendly events with beloved characters—definitely worth checking out, especially for Disney-loving kids. I’ve been to a couple of them, and each time my girls had a blast.
Last December (if I remember right), they had Olaf, which my daughter loved, though that event wasn’t as heavily themed. More recently, they hosted a Toy Story event with a spot-on Buzz Lightyear who was fully committed to the role, which was hilarious to watch. Merryhill School was also part of the fun, offering activities like “sticker the potato man,” making a Forky, and handing out themed goodie bags. It was a great touch that kept the kids engaged.
The food, however, can be hit or miss. The “fries” I ordered last time were actually pesto potatoes that weren’t crisp at all. On the plus side, the Reuben I had on a previous visit was delicious, and the kids’ chicken meal was solid. The beer selection is excellent with a wide variety—I even spotted a hard seltzer Baja Sipper from Brewery X, which was an interesting surprise.
If you plan to go, I highly recommend reserving a table—it gets busy fast.

Great vibe and an amazing bartender! Great selection of beer and food! They even had a really good NA beer selection! The garlic fries were enough to feed four they just didn't have quite enough garlic otherwise amazing! Live music on Fridays and something to do every other night! Very family-friendly as well.

We came to this place with our toddler for Lunch with Bluey. I had hopes that this place would be ready for kids and make it kids friendly as they made such an advertisement but to our disappointment they weren’t. This is a real pub, bar stools and counters throughout, it’s dark inside, they played heavy metal music while they have over 50 kids there. Why? We felt so uncomfortable of the atmosphere. There is a patio outside which would be perfect for the families to hang out while waiting for Bluey but they didn’t have any umbrellas or shades, it was wide open on the sun and 90+ degrees. Bluey arrived half an hour late. All these toddlers were waiting bored out of their mind in this dark pub with a heavy metal on and the rest were waiting outside on the sun and heat. It was a nightmare.
The staff seemed to be so irritated and had zero customer service.
Food was terrible. We ordered two kinds of wings and chicken quesadilla. We waited for it for about 40 minutes for the first set of wings to arrive. When they arrived, the wings appeared to be reheated. The bones inside the wings was cold, and the meat was tasteless. Then it took them another 15 minutes to bring the other food. Mind that we ordered our food before it got crowded.
I just don’t get it why they do it for kids when there’s nothing kid friendly in there. Never again would I go there myself moreover take my child there.

Came in for the first time. There was no bartender, or so we thought. A girl who we assumed was the bar back looked at us and then went about her business, kissed and talked with her boyfriend. Then she asked the guys next to us if she could get them another round! So she was the bartender, what?! Are we invisible?? Needless to say we left and will not be back!

A company with a heart of gold.
The owner's family are great people. An excellent place for Old Rocklin.
