Portion was small for the bun bo hue. They didn’t have shrimp paste or the right amount of meats for the price of this dish. Server was not as knowledgeable of the food items. Service was lacking. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming. Haven’t tried the pho, but I wouldn’t come back because of the service and price for the portion.
Small family owned joint, 16 bucks for a Large combo so pretty average nowadays for pho. The large here is huge compared to some places. Could use more protein (besides tripe, theres no shortage of that LOL). Broth doesnt need a bunch of sauce to make it flavourful, its good on its own. Id give it a 4.5 sheckle stars

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service and experience I had at your restaurant last week. I brought three old friends from San Francisco to Pho Hot and we ordered Pho Gà, or the chicken noodle soup. Unfortunately, what was served to us was beef noodle soup with some chicken meat added.
When we brought this to the attention of your staff, they insisted that this is how you prepare your chicken noodle soup by adding chicken to a beef broth. We requested to see where on the menu it states that the chicken noodle soup is made with beef broth, but were met with further argument rather than assistance.
The situation escalated when I explained that one of my friends has a beef allergy, which is why we specifically ordered chicken. We asked to speak to a manager or owner to resolve the issue, but were informed that there was no one available to address our concerns.
Given that I have been a regular customer at Pho Hot since 2018 and often recommended your restaurant to others seeking great Vietnamese food, this experience was particularly disappointing. Not only did the incorrect order affect our dining experience, but the dismissive attitude of your staff towards our concerns was unacceptable.
I hope that you take this feedback seriously and consider improving both your menu clarity and customer service protocols. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I will no longer be referring anyone to your establishment and am unsure if I will return myself.

Wow! The portion size of my bowl was enormous, definitely giving you your money's worth, and the taste was simply delicious. It's a shame I don't live closer, or I'd be a regular here. The service was impressively fast, with my order arriving in under 5 minutes. While the ambiance might not be the highlight, it likely contributes to the affordability of the food, which, in my opinion, is more important.
