I needed to order a custom photo. Ake for my boyfriend's upcoming birthday. I drove around to get quotes and availability from multiple bakeries in the rocklin/roseville area. After being told no at multiple locations, and even being interrupted mid-sentence by a manager while discussing options with a bakery clerk, I was beyond thrilled with the staff at this Safeway's bakery. Both the gentleman who I initially got a quote from and the lovely lady (manager of the bakery, I believe) who took the order and made it were absolutely wonderful. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They made the cake better than we imagined, and even unsold us on an extra bar car by genuinely listening to what we were looking for and relaying a similar type of cake would be on special the day of pick-up for the order. The courtesy clerk and bagger were both extremely friendly too. Beyond happy with the service and order, and would reccomend yo anyone looking for a custom cake!

I wonder if anyone @ Safeway reads these. This store is so overdue for an update it is sad. If you are listening, your shoppers would like an update to their store!

I use to love going here with my kid and wife for years but lately it's been a disappointment. I went last night and got a few item with my kid and the self checkout closes so early around 9. I had to go to one cashier because that's all that was left and the cashier name was "Matthew." He was so disrespectful, he talks to the other customer nicely but when my son and I are next it's complete day and night. He doesn't respond to any of my words and just complete disrespect and don't disregard for customers at all. I recommend in finding people who are better suited with customer service and not some complete idiot.

One bad experience should not dictate how good or bad a store is. I always buy a beef hoagie or their 3.99 sandwiches for lunch. This sandwich... The lettuce was black. I ate all the black parts unfortunately. My picture is of what is leftover... It had a funky taste and by the time I checked I was half through. I threw the rest away. Yeah I had an energy drink with it so it washed down most of the aftertaste. Just sharing... Hopefully they change out the sandwiches more?.... Or use fresh lettuce? 3 stars cause I do like this Safeway. Lol

Yes the store is clean and well stocked. My registrar was a very friendly gentleman. He rang me up, I checked my receipt saw that my vitamins were not buy one get one free as the sign said so I brought it to his attention. By then he was helping the person behind me so I stepped aside to customer service as another employee went to verify the sign. He came back and said yep they are buy one get one free. Abdul decided he was going to check a second time and came back and said no. I know what the sign said, thats why I decided to try that brand, the other employee saw what I saw and then Abdul was combative. "I can show you" uh yeah because you obviously just went back there and took the sign down. For crying out loud I shop here on a regular basis and spend $200-$500 per shopping trip. This was a totally deceptive and maddening. I felt like returning all of my groceries just on principle but I have a family to feed thats waited for me to complete my shopping for over an hour. My point is this: 2 out of 3 people saw the same sign, why weren't they able to honor what their sign said? And clearly the third person, Abdul, removed the sign that was posted. For this I'm taking my business elsewhere, Whole Foods, Sprouts, Savemart here I come. I'm done.

This is a great place to grab some provisions while staying nearby, like say, in a hotel. Snacks, food. drink, etc., they have it here which you probably know by now. The real attraction here if staying nearby is their deli and bakery. Don't feel like sitting down in a restaurant? Grab a sandwich or a meal here instead. You might save yourself some money and time. That's what I did. Sandwiches here are tasty, affordable, and the staff is friendly. Outside of that they have other meals like chicken and salads available as well and other already made food items. So grab whatever you need. Anyway, great little grocery store for food, supplies, and whatever else you may need.

This is my go to Safeway. It's conveniently located, the staff is friendly, and it's clean. I have never had any complaints about this Safeway and will continue to come here in the future.

I've been trying to order a cake for over an hour and I have been disconnected after being transferred back and forth because no one seems to be around there. I know its not because they're busy because I was just in there. Even if they were it takes a second to pick up the phone and tell me they're busy hold on please. Poor service.

Stopped in and bought 2 lbs fried chicken tenders from the hot food deli and some stuff for a salad. When I arrived home the chicken was very dry and likely held long past it's life in the warmer. I went online and gave corporate all of my info. They sent an email stating that someone would follow up. Apparently customers aren't really that important to them as they never responded I do not recommend this location to anyone. Especially the prepared food. Good thing Raleys is just another exit down the freeway A bit more money. But you get what you pay for.
Their produce is terrible; I have had MANY instances where the produce looks good on the outside but inside is rotten and then tonight we bought an 18 pack of taco shells and 10 were broken already when we opened them!! Uggghhh

My review is solely based off of the cake and balloons i had ordered. I came in a month and a half early to find a rainbow balloon for my daughters unicorn themed party. I found the one that i wanted but it was the last one, and discontinued. The wonderful lady with the short hair and bright red lipstick told me she would hold it for me. And when i walked in 10 min earlier than i said i would, a month and a half later.. my balloon was waiting there already blown up. I also had ordered cupcakes with decorations of a unicorn which had been very hard to find. And the cupcake sheet was delicious and so adorably decorated. Totally helped make my daughters birthday party special. Thank you to the woman in the bakery who made my cake and the woman in the floral/balloon section who saved my daughter that very last balloon.
