Racist staff follows me from the second I walk through the door. They wait for me to come out the bathroom and then aggressively follow me as I get a sandwich and go to checkout. I just wanted a sandwich on my lunch break but yet they are always stuck to me like flies on a turd. I know I'm brown but Jesus Christ.

I am not one to post a review but in this case I felt that it is very necessary. My family have been coming to this Safeway store for 5 years as it is very convenient and I for one, have never had any problems with an employee until today. After checking out, I went straight to the scratcher machine to buy a ticket. I pulled a $5 bill as that was the only cash I had. I didn't see any $5 ticket so I bought a $3 one and was looking for a $2 and they were old sold out. So I asked to get some assistance as the machine does not give change back. The clerk who helped me named ROSE did not appear friendly. I explained to her that I needed the $2 back or exchange it with a $5 ticket (I didn't see this originally) but she recommended that I buy a lottery ticket instead and I said I didn't want to do that. She then walked off hurriedly and muttered "I'll just give you your cash then" (which is what I asked in the first place). As she was ringing her register she gave me an attitude and I stated "you don't have to be rude". She then came back at me with "well I have a lot of things to do!" and proceeded to hand me my money and walked off. I went to asked for a manager and he came and advised me that ROSE is one of his top employees. DOES THAT GIVE THEM THE RIGHT TO BE RUDE TO SOMEONE??? Long story short, I ended up giving them their ticket back and leaving them the money because I was so mad I had to leave the store. These people think they can just be rude to others. This store DEFINITELY does not have a friendly atmosphere. The only reason why I kept coming here is because it is very convenient. I won't be coming here unless they hire friendly and with proper etiquette people. This is what this world needs right now!

Twice have special ordered a special order tart from them only to arrive at the appointed time to have it NOT be there. Unapologetic and unsympathetic. Their Bakery sucks.

I love coming here they have great deals on all of there products they also have Starbucks inside of this establishment this is a very clean atmosphere very clean establishment they always have great sales goi h on with the whole entire store they do require you to wear a mask when shopping in here I honestly don't mind wearing the mask since my job is as a cashier I am use to wearing it I am not a fan of it but I will follow the rules as the store asks no problem they have the best bakery items here my favorite are there sugar donuts and chocolate chip bagels they are sooo good they always have great prices on all of my items I need to get when I go shopping for the week I like to have all of my lunch items ready that way I don't have to go out on my lunch and I can just enjoy my lunch without leaving lol this store always has great prices on cases of water I always restock whenever they have a sale going on since my family will drink it I also love the deli sandwiches they have the softest bread and they use the best quality of items when preparing the sandwiches if you haven't tried one you definitely should they always have the service deli beautifully displayed and they always have friendly staff asking if you need help finding anything which I appreciate since I always walk by the aisles of the stuff I need lol they also have a very beautiful display in there meat department when it comes to having a nice clean store this store definitely is the restrooms always smell clean and are very clean I highly recommend this establishment for anyone looking for a great deal this store definitely has it all. I will definitely be coming back here again very soon for more future visits and more great experiences thank you Safeway staff you guys are awesome I appreciate you

I just want to thank the sweet lady in the deli department for such wonderful service and for being so amazing. We had ordered some pinwheels from sams club last week to be ready yesterday. We went to pick them up and they told us they didn't have them because their orders didn't come in. I called this Safeway to see if they had any already made and the sweet lady that answered the phone asked what I was looking for and told me she would have it together for me within an hour if that was ok... WOW!!! Such good customer service and sooooooo sweet!! She saved the day!!! Also the gentleman who was there when I picked up the order was so awesome as well. Such a great team. I will always come back to this Safeway for services after this! (Especially after being laughed at and told good luck trying to find someone to do that for you at the Lincoln Safeway when I went by that store)

4 Airbnb owners including myself came in the store. The limit was two paper towels and two toilet papers per client. They said they can only sell us 6 even after mentioning the policy. They said its two per household. We are all Asian, they were racists and then assumed that we were all family. We all have different last names and brought our IDs but they did not want to verify it. The cashier Laurel was impatient, sarcastic and demeaning. She kept over talking Dachi and when I stepped in, she asked "How Am I being rude? The manager Hector Fuentes was requested and she had the audacity to say "You can go get them" Hector came over from his own cashier and was dishonest. He said he was standing there the entire time. He came from register 3. Laurel was at 1 next to the self checkout. Without greeting or asking what was going on, Hector swooped in and started talking about the limit. We have 4 adults once again with IDs, different last names. He said he said "Well regardless we aren't going to sell you anymore". Laurel was in the back smirking as Hector was rudely cutting me off with his rude demeanor. He said to us "We are done here" even though I wasn't finished speaking. If they were nice about it and said "Sorry, we have a limit of 2 and can only sell 6" that would be different. However Laurel and Hector appeared to be racists even with facts. Laurel isn't trained properly to deal with irate clients. She doesn't show any sympathy and uses passive aggression behaviors to treat clients poorly. I came back after asking for John the district manager. He said the best way was using customer service, Yelp or Facebook. So here I am wasting my time because these associates wasn't trained in proving excellent customer service. Hector felt rushed and was impatient because only Laurel and him was running the two lines. He literally just cut us off, told us he was done with us and didn't apologize sincerely. The difference between being robotic and being truly sincere is very noticeable. During this chaotic season, Asians are seen ay Costco stocking up and they assumed we are part of that minority. Such disgust and not surprising for employees in Rocklin. I wonder if I was Caucasian, they would actually be able to tell the difference in our faces? Utterly disappointed and will be posting on Facebook as well.

Well organized store, featuring cement colored floors.... Not usually aware of grocery store floors, but for some reason these floors stood out as oddly gray. I was able to locate everything and headed to check out only to find 8 people in line for one cashier. At 9 am on a Saturday morning? Another cashier opened a line about 10 minutes later. The cashier was a nice lady who went out of her way to be personable. Hopefully management can schedule more staff.

I went into Safeway for the first time in a long while today. I usually go to target because there's an actual self-check out unlike this Safeway store. Anyways, I went up to the deli counter to get some pasta salad and the worker that was helping me was a young girl my age in her 20s and I was waiting to decide what I wanted and trying think about which one to get. Meanwhile I guess one other person showed up next to the deli counter down at the meats section and started waiting for someone to help them as well. It had only been like maybe 20-30 seconds of me deciding what I wanted and the girl goes "are you going to decide what you want already? Because there are other ppl down there waiting too" and then I asked for what pasta I wanted and it literally was so rude because it was only like 20 second of me deciding! And then throughout the whole transaction she asked me rudely what size I wanted and didn't say bye have a nice day or anything just handed my pasta to me rudely. And then there was another worker already helping the other ppl down the way anyways.. so it was unnecessary to even asked if I was going to hurry up or not. And it was annoying because the deli counter ppl always give me s*** and are lazy etc so I might not come back for a long while again. Love Target way more!

I like the selection of items here ,but the just4u app is irritating. I don't want to look at my phone while I'm shopping just to save 20 cents on a box of rice . We spent 300$ here last night and the checker/supervisor was so rude . I worked for this company for 7 years it is Just unbelievable that a supervisor would treat a customer that way! And the bagger put pantry items instead of my cold/frozen items in my insulated bag. The eggs were put In a bag sideways,standing up and falling out the carton . But the supervisor was more worried about the small amount of water I accidentally spilled on the belt, and told my 11yr old not to push some items on the belt when her father asked her to. Maybe the checker should have been more concerned with her bagger than a little bit of water on the belt ! Horrible customer service , no excuse for it. The bagger I forgive because he is a teenager . I will spend my 300$ elsewhere Safeway!!

Fantastic service at the pharmacy! They are all very attentive and worked with me to make sure I got my prescription in a short turn around time so I could make it in time for my operation. I would definitely go back to this location.

Some of you may not know this but, I am a total neat freak. I have been a neat freak ever since I was a kid (weird I know); my home is always clean, neat and organized. This is why I love this Safeway location; it's gorgeous! My husband and I came to this location last night to pick up a few things and this was our first time coming to this specific location; we might actually make this our regular Safeway store now since it is much closer to our home than the one we usually go to on Douglas. When we walked in, I was super impressed with how everything was super organized, straight, neat and clean too. The cereal and magazine aisles were huge, drink selection was incredible; they featured a wide refrigerated section of drinks (so many drinks to chose from) and their Christmas displays were amazing! I have never seen a Safeway so beautifully decorated before. Customer service was outstanding too as the staff was super friendly. I love the Safeway on Douglas (in which I also gave them a five star rating) but this store for me definitely takes the cake!

Just tried to do a return of an unopened, non perishable item from a Safeway in Sac, with the receipt and was sent away. First told I had to go to the same store u purchased from, then told I was out of the district. I've never heard of such crap before. Said it was an inventory thing. Ridiculous policy!!! Booooooooooo
