Flamethrower Kelly told me the best pastrami he's ever had was from the Pastrami Ship in Roseville...Well, I flat out didn't believe him! Did they cure it themselves and smoke it too I asked?
The Flamethrower didn't know, so I asked what made it so special?
He thought hard about it, and finally said...Okay, it's the first time I've ever had pastrami, and that makes it the best I've ever had! Well...I was in Sactown anyway so I made a Lickity Split to the Pastrami Shop in Roseville and had an Amazing sandwich! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

I am a Reuben lover. It's more difficult than it should be to find a good Reuben around here. The place smelled "old" and not fresh when I walked in and was kind of dingy but I'm all for a family owned business. I was greeted by a sweet older man and woman. They were super kind, telling me it was the best Reuben ever as I seemed a little unsure but excited to potentially find a hidden gem. Unfortunately, I am not a fan. I feel like someone would only like this if they've never had a "real" Reuben. True Reubens are juicy, fresh, and sooo flavorful with that saltiness and then tangy dripping sauce, melty cheese, and high stacked pastrami on lightly toasted bread. True Reubens are ooey gooey flavorful bliss. Now to the Reuben I received from this place... it was dry, yes stacked pastrami but only making it look like a lot of pastrami due to the extra layer of soggy bread in the middle... like Big Mac style, yuck. Not a lot of cheese and definitely missing that tangy thousand island dressing. It was supposed to be on there, I think I saw it BUT there was barely any. It was so salty and I LOVE salt but that's literally all I could taste was a ton of salt and a lot of bread! Saurkraut was cheap store bought, nothing special. I really wish I could give this place a better review but for a $20 sandwhich after a couple dollar tip this was nowhere worth it. I don't think I'd pay even $10 for a sandwhich like that. Arby's used to have a Reuben (I don't know if they still do) and that was better than this. I can't recommend much of anything when it comes to places around here with a good Reuben but the Beach Hut Reuben is much better than this and worth trying before this place.

I have been driving past this shop for a few years and have always wanted to try it. My boyfriend said he was craving a Rueben and I remembered this spot. We walked in and the owners greeted us with such kindness and then made one of the best sandwiches we have ever had! The Italian bread is so soft and fresh. The meat and toppings were amazing and delicious. The fries were so fresh and hot. The customer service was amazing. 10 out of 10. Definitely going back and soon!

Not much atmosphere, but the service and food makes up the difference. The seating area is clean but very small.

Over $17 for a Reuben? I did it and will never do it again. Red flag.....he busted out a loaf of Orowheat bread. For $17 I'd expect he'd bake his own bread. Pastrami was dry. Sauerkraut was blah. Actually the entire sandwich was a dry blah. I would've been $17 richer if I'd gone home and had an apple and granola bar. I think I'm done eating out. Everything is overpriced garbage

It’s a small place but it packs a punch. The people are nice and they know how to build a good sandwich. It’s so close to home cooking that you’ll forget you didn’t make it. In a world where there is so much fast food I’m happy we still have places like this.
