Had the Miso Ramen which I couldnt help but eat before taking the picture. Reminded me of Ramen in Japan. Extremely friendly Staff and great Art in the building. If you want a small taste of Japan this is the fastest way to feel that

They have a variety of dishes from sushi to noodles. I had Jajamyeong noodles. Good portion. They were ok. Will come back to try the other dishes. Side dish of Kimchi was delicious. Atmosphere and customer service Top Notch. Chef came out and asked all parties, how was our dish.

If you’re ever near Commons Drive in Rocklin and craving some really tasty teriyaki or sushi, you should absolutely swing by Tokyo Express. My brother and I have popped in a few times now, and it’s become a little favorite for a reason: the food is just delicious, the place is friendly, and you’re usually in and out pretty quickly, which is awesome.

The owners are great people and Kelly, who often takes care of us, just lights up when you remember her name—you can tell they really care. We’ve tried a few things, like their teriyaki combo plate with sesame chicken and beef—both super tasty. My brother went for the spicy chicken and it was a hit too. Plus, you get a nice little salad with a creamy dressing and some steamed rice, all for a really reasonable price—somewhere in that $15 to $20 range.

In short, it’s one of those cozy neighborhood gems where you get great food and friendly faces. Definitely worth a visit!

Food was good. My 9yo daughter loved her Alaskan roll. She said “it was the best she ever had” and ate all of it. Her kids ramen, was good and simple - broth was tasty. My 13yo son had Shoyu ramen. He enjoyed it and said “it was fine”. My wife had a Pacific and Caterpillar rolls. She had no complaints and said nothing exceptional. I had the Chicken Teriyaki. I thought it was one of the better chicken teriyaki I’ve had. Nothing burnt or bitter w the chicken or sauce.

All in all, spent $100 for lunch. Kinda pricey but figured it’s because it was the location next to Studio Grill. Service was great since we ate at an off time, about 2ish. And the nice lady was very attentive.

Wife and I went for lunch today, we had the seaweed salad, ebi nigiri, spciy California roll, ocean roll and dragon roll. The food was very fresh and each item tasted great. Most sushi places I go to all rolls taste the same. This was not the case at Tokyo express. We will be back.
