Most Authentic, NOT Americanized watered down crap. Very good food, Great prices! I grew up eating Happy wok. And glad they haven't changed, no matter the competition or other "Chinese" Restaurants in the area that have come and gone over 20 years. They remain for good reason!

One of the best family restaurants in rodeo, you want AUTHENTIC Chinese this is the place to go. There pricing is fairly cheap for the amount of PORTIONS you get! Definitely always go here to get my Chinese grub going!

Happy Wok has been serving the Rodeo area for over 20 years! I cannot say enough good things about this place. This family-owned business serves food that'd they've been perfecting over the years they've been open. I recommend their shrimp fried rice and Mongolian beef. Given that it is a family-owned business, things happen which may affect their customer service. However, it doesn't take away from the quality of their food. Renee, the owner's son, carries the restaurant on his back. His hard work goes unnoticed which makes the story behind this restaurant respectable and all business that comes their way is well-deserved. This little hole in the wall restaurant has some extraordinary Chinese food.

Last time I ordered vegetable fried rice it tasted fresh and so delicious ! I couldn't wait to order again!I was so disappointed in the vegetable fried rice and orange chicken :( It tasted old as if it was left over from lunch a few days ago! This was a dinner I was excited for and was left hungry and unhappy!I'm trying to support small business but come on, step it up! I will only try one more time because I do give chefs another chance.

Finally good Chinese close to me. Willow was bad so I had to go all the way to Richmond for good stuff. Glad I found this little gem.

Good food but check your order first, they always forget the condiments I ask for!

Decided to try a different restaurant for Chinese food for our anniversary celebration. Because of COVID, we picked it up and ate at home. One of the dishes was left out of our package, and it was too far to go back and pick it up. Other than that, the food was tasty, and the portions were ample.

Another favorite in our tiny town. They are family owned and run. The boys have grown up and brought in technology(lol)Food is always steaming hot and made up in huge portions, Deliciously!

I'm just plain and simple. After being holed in and not going out, all I wanted was some fried rice. I don't recall seeing any little green scallions in it, but it had everything else that a fried rice should have: egg, peas, carrots, and protein. Plus, in the time of Covid-19, I can understand if perhaps they aren't getting shipments of ingredients in as regularly, so I will not dock any stars when they have been consistently good in the past.I recommend the Chinese chicken salad here. The portions are generous. With the peanut sauce, it is a must-have!

Got takeout lunch here for Yelp's Big Night in 2.0! This is a great little Mom & Pop style restaurant with authentic down-home Cantonese cooking! Conveniently located in the Safeway shopping center in the little town of Rodeo (off 80 before the Carquinez Bridge), hubby had been coming here for work lunches off and on for more than 25 years. The food has been consistently good all these years and they are fast and efficient too. We got: 1) Happy Family. A wonderful medley of chicken, beef, shrimp, broccoli, carrots, zucchini, mushrooms, bamboo shoots and onions stir fried in a mouthwatering brown sauce. There was an ample amount of all these ingredients and they didn't skimp on anything. We were impressed that they had taken the time to de-vein all the shrimp 2) Garlic eggplant. Traditional garlic eggplant in a pleasantly flavorful and piquant sauce with a hint of heat. There were nice pieces of tiny chopped garlic throughout. 3) Tomato Beef Chow Mein. A classic lunch item and one of hubby's favorites. Simply done with lots of chopped tomatoes, beef, onions, shredded cabbage and shredded carrots mixed into noodles with a pleasing tomato-ey sauce. It was very good with the perfect amount of sauce, noodle to beef & vegetable ratio, not just a bunch of noodles. They have the Covid routine down really well. There was hand sanitizer on the takeout table, a box of clean sanitized pens and a box for used pens. Everyone was wearing masks. And as mentioned earlier that hubby had been a customer for over 25 years, we fondly remember their Chinese Chicken Salad with killer peanut dressing and we would of ordered it, but they didn't have it that day. They kindly offered to make the dressing for me to use on my own salads at home! That was a nice touch.

Love this place. Best Chinese food around these parts. Princess shrimp, every chicken dish, chow mein and fried rice are my favorites. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything seems fresh and cooked to order.

Ate here recently and was pleasantly surprised on how tasty the food was. We were greeted and spoke with the owner of the restaurant which was very nice. We chose the dinner for two and the portion sizes were very generous. I will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this Chinese restaurant.
