Can't speak for all the menu, but will speak about what we had. Sunday August 18, 2024.
Ordered a Whole Chicken (Pollo a la brasa), with fries and rice, and a Jalea. Mediocre is the kindest word I can use to describe the chicken, it was close to flavorless and clearly reheated from who knows when, I'm assuming/hoping Saturday. Even the thighs had almost no flavor which was surprising. Now the fries, they were literally dry and seamed to have been refried as well. They had no salt, no flavor, and were very powdery. As if you were eating sand, seriously disgusting.
rice was mediocre as well, barely any flavor but at least was edible.
Worst chicken we've ever had. Do not recommend.
The Jalea was good, not amazing but good. Only thing that didn't make our experience a complete and horrible disappointment.
For us the general consense was to never come back.

Excellent food and exceptional customer service! Attended a large private event this past weekend and cannot say enough about the quality of the food and level of service we received. Thank you, El Pollo Inka for going above and beyond!

Shout out to our friendly and outstanding server, Luis. Luis made our experience a pleasant one. This was my first time here, and I would love to come back and try something different. I had Lomo saltado, and it was ok. My husband had the 1/2 chicken, and it was DELICIOUS ? very flavorful.

We have loved El Pollo Inka for many years at their locations in Lawndale and HB, now we found them closer to us! The restaurant is large, spacious indoor & outdoor seating with a relaxed vibe. While we ate, there was a large birthday party, yet it never felt noisy. Service was incredibly attentive, always catching what we may need even before we asked. The highlight though is the food: we had 3 different dishes, all flavorful without being salty, plantains prepared perfectly, and plenty of it all. Each dish comes with a soup & roll ahead of time. We finished sharing the dessert platter and were thoroughly impressed! Best of all: prices remain the same. We are frequent customers!
This has been my favorite peruvian restaurant for years. Unfortunately, today, I called for a pick-up order of a whole chicken and a fried rice main entre. They took the order and told me to be there in 20 minutes, I took about 30 minutes, and when I arrived at the place, they told me that they didn't have anymore chicken and my order was never made. I asked about the fried rice, and they said it would take another 10-15 minutes. At that moment, I just nodded my head in disapproval and left without saying a word. They could have called me back and explained the situation. They didn't. Let me be clear, their dining service is great! But I couldn't let this slide since I was very hungry.

The food is above average but the service is truly awful post-COVID. Poor employee training seems given, but hiring quality seems low, as a recent encounter showed one employee couldn't even pronounce popular menu items or read the menu. I've had whole ingredients missing from orders, both when dining in or doing takeout. Management is decent at best but rather thin skinned, making excuses and becoming emotional if you politely, objectively note issues withe the fallen quality.Go to the El Pollo Inka off of Hawthorne instead for sit down meals, perhaps, or hit Inka Wasi a couple blocks away for the express experience. The latter is the same food, same company, but clearly managed better.
