This restaurant has close to 40 years history of continuous operation in, arguably, one of the most competitive market for Chinese foods in the USA. It's due to a combination of high quality of foods and unique niche market segment (Islamic Chinese foods).

We are visiting from Tampa, FL where we do not have any halal Chinese food. So this was a special treat! The food was very good overall and what was excellent was the hand-pulled noodles! Do yourselves a favor and order the hand-pulled noodle dishes! The Mongolian Beef was also good. The stuffed bread was a bit bland for our taste (I am Iranian and we have some amazing breads...). Overall, a very good experience!!

After thinking about it for two days, I decided to write it down. It’s not for the sake of being black, I just hope that the store can make something out of the dim sum. Came for noodles with friends and ordered a bowl of mutton noodles in clear soup. To be honest, I'm really disappointed. I have never had such bad noodle soup since I was a kid. The noodles used here are neither ramen noodles nor handmade noodles. It's the kind of square noodles used in Chinese restaurants in the United States that are pressed out by a machine. This kind of noodles is okay for fried noodles and can absorb the juice. But the noodles became lumpy as soon as the soup came out. When I got to the table, the texture got worse and worse as I ate it, and it was as soft as gnocchi. How can this be used to make noodle soup? What's more, there are guys from northwest China in this store. If I know that this is a square noodle, this noodle will not be ordered on the table. It is not as good as the round noodles bought in supermarkets outside. And I won’t mention the mutton in your mutton noodles. A bowl of 19 yuan is more or less, and there are only a few slices of mutton in total. The mutton is not the point anymore, as long as you can make the noodles. Two bowls of noodles for two people, two Arctic Oceans, one fried pancake, more than 70 yuan plus tip. The cake was quite warm, but it was really not delicious. Halal restaurants are always halal wherever they open, and they must have basic quality. When I was paying the bill at the end, I was the most irritated. I mentioned this noodle thing, but this shop owner from the northwest was still trying to get around to me. I really didn’t feel ashamed at all. Being a diner means you have never seen the world and don’t know how to eat? When foreigners ate these noodles, they thought Chinese people don’t know how to make noodles!

We have been going to china islamic for years until this happened on last to go order. never again will we go to china islamic. An order to go, they ruffled up lots of tin foil and inserted it in the bottom of to go trays. They than put 50% less food in the trays. We realized what they did when we started to eat and ran short on the meal. All this after such a large increase on their prices. My family has been going there for over 25 years; never again will be buy food from them.Parking: not easy parking

A Chinese Islamic restaurant serving North Western Chinese cuisine. Very good lamb soups and perfectly done sesame onion bread. Perfect for a cold day in LA.

Super tasty and clean food. The sesame bread was soft and yummy. The eggplant dish was full of flavor. The staff was very friendly but not overly attentive. I would definitely come back here.

Well, this is the only one Chinese muslin cuisine restaurant in town. I have been dining there since the 1980s with my parents and friends. Not just bring back the old days memories but a new adventure of dining at a Chinese muslin restaurant. This restaurant is not very popular among the favorites of Chinese food, but I gave them five stars if we are rating the Northwestern Chinese flavor of lamps and beefs. The sesame bread is a best selling dish and also the lump bones with veggie soup.

Male waiter was arrogant about tip. He said not to come to restaurant if don’t want to tip. I was in rush to leave so I ignored but this is unacceptable. Very poor service.
