Da Vien Coffee has had the best Vietnamese coffee and matcha einspänners by my palate standards so far. The Vietnamese coffee was actually pretty strong compared to other places I've tried. I prefer my drinks on the stronger side, so this was pretty good for my palate. People who prefer coffee brewed on the weaker side might not enjoy the Vietnamese coffee as much as I did. Nevertheless, it was quality coffee. The only thing I didn't like was that ¾ of the cup was filled with straight ice. I prefer my drinks with light ice, some people prefer it with more ice however, it just depends on your preferences.
I also tried their 16 oz matcha einspänner with 50% sweetness and an extra shot of matcha and it is one of the BEST matcha einspänners I have had so far in LA county. However it is not the best matcha I have ever had before!, but it was still higher quality than matcha sold at some cafés I've been to. It had that signature umami flavor with smooth and vegetal/grassy notes just like matcha is supposed to be. These people know what they're doing! Service didn't seem bad, I never noticed a single staff member do anything rude or disrespectful to anyone, and the café and the restrooms were kept nice and clean despite the crowdedness. The cashier was attentive and respectful to me when I placed my order. The atmosphere was nice, decorations are all around the café which made it seem pretty pleasant.
Overall, amazingly crafted Vietnamese coffees and matcha einspänners, the best I've ever had in the county, but the Vietnamese coffee was ¾ of the way filled with ice so I only got about 8-10 sips lol. The service was great, the staff members were respectful, attentive to our needs and kept the café clean, Atmosphere was great, I liked some of the decorations
9/10 Would come back again sometime, would certainly recommend to a friend nearby.

It is not worth to pay $7 and waited 3 hours for BOGO Strawberry Cream Oat Matcha promotion on 2/24/2026. Their staff didn't even bother to call out name on those drinks sitting three tables. We had to inside to hunt for our drinks. Da Vien Coffee's upper management doesn't know what the hell they were thinking about doing a 1-day promotion. Will not go back again. Time is money and it is very precious. Don't want to deal with the BS and stress!

There was a 1 day special BOGO Strawberry Cream Oat Matcha. I ordered at 5:11 pm on the app and it said arrive at 5:21 and it would be ready. I get there around 5:30 and I'm directed to get in line so I think ok it's really busy but maybe half an hour I'll be able to pick up my drink. NOPE After an hour the line finally moves and gets divided into 2 lines based on if you ordered before 6pm or after 6pm. Line doesn't move for another 45 mins. Meanwhile I can see tables through the window filled with unclaimed pre-orders cause they're letting no one in. Finally the line moves as they let people in 1 or 2 at a time. I finally find my drinks searching through all the pre-made ones. I leave at 7:24, about 2 hours after I arrived. I saw people leaving in frustration and considered their payment a donation. Others that asked for a cancelation were told it has to be done through corporate and can't be processed in store. This was on par with a prerelease of an exclusive item and not like it was for a drink at a café. So incredibly mis managed on the ordering system, lines, and pickup process. If I had known the wait would be even close to this long I wouldn't have even ordered. This was my first and last time I'll be going to Da Vien at any location.

Ordered 30 minutes ahead online and they still haven’t gotten my order. Workers not making the drinks didn’t even try checking the system even when I showed them my receipts multiple times. Was late to work with no drinks. The place has good drinks, but lacking in service.

I go everyday either with my husband or friends, last week they changed the Matcha recipe and its now $1 more for the same size. The old recipe was perfect. Love this place but me and my friends literally crave the last recipe 😭. I feel like even the Ube foam is less dense and less sweet. Makes me a lil sad. Is the Ube foam now mande water instead of being with a creamer base or heavy cream?? I miss the regular Ube matcha 😭
