The owner of casa de abuelita passed away this is no longer the original food. Roxy tacos reviews are not authentic. They dont even have the respect to change the name. They are mooching off abuelitas brand that had been around for many years prior.

After waiting on the table for more than five minutes for some one to come greed us I stood up to grab a menu when a Very rude lady came out of the kitchen screaming that they would only take cash and went back in the kitchen. She didn't even say hi or welcome, nothing.. very disturbing.. sat on the table again but after waiting for another 10 minutes with no response we decided to leave... again very disturbing ?

Found this place by mistake. It was a great mistake. This was my first time here but food seemed authentic. Coffee was excellent too. I am coming back to try out their large Menu. I also tried a pupusa and loved it. Def recommend.

So I came here on 01/02/2022 a Sunday around 4:30pm. First off I did not know there was a change of owner when I went. So when I walked in the decor was gloomy and sad. Unlike before with the traditional Mexican decor. But I had no problem with that. I expected the food quality to be the same as before but was met with a huge let down. There were 2 customers before me. One was dine in and another to-go. So my wait time was ~30 mins for a to go order. Which is was somewhat expected and unexpected because last time I came for a to-go order I only waited half that time. The food was an even more of a let down. I ordered combination #4 and #7. For combination #4 the enchilada was not good. The chicharron pupusa was really really soggy. And for both combination I got asada tacos. The asada was dry and there was no additional toppings for it. And for combination #7 we got the chicken and cheese pupusa to go with the tacos and it honestly was the only thing that was good. The rice and beans that came with both orders were not up to par with traditional Mexican rice and beans. The rice was dry and the beans were ehh. So all in all the food is a hit or miss but honestly it was much better before it changed hands. For the good chicken pupusa and nice lady that took my order, I give it 2/5.

Please be aware this location has changed hands VERY recently and has a seafood centered menu. The photos and menu DO NOT match for the new restaurant on this site (not their fault) as well as the outside of the restaurant also has the old signage(that is their fault). Not what I was expecting but it was good.

Unfornately, Gina the owner and the face of the restaurant passed away a few months ago and it 's not the same walking in and not having her greet you.The food is okay nothing great about it. The place is a nice nostalgic vibe and decorated with traditional Mexican ornaments.

I'm gonna keep it real for you on this review.I've lived on the same street for 3 years next to this place. I tried it a couple times but it was always a let down so i don't eat here anymore. Its mostly empty as you can see in others photos and uncomfortable setting as your usually alone in the restaurant. Service is really lacking. 2 ladies and an old man that is always wandering about. The reason for this review is because my bf ordered some pupusas..he loves them..has to have them no matter what and this was the only place open that had them. The first time a month or 2 ago..they had a weird spoiled taste..and then again tonight the same thing..my daughter started heaving it up.. it smells rotten. Its not worth it here. Yuck!

Absolutely delicious! I've passed by many times while living in the area and decided to give it a try today while waiting on my car repair. Wish I had tried it sooner! The pupusas are amazing. I tried the queso con frijoles, queso con loroco, and queso con calabasa. It was so fresh, I could see the chef in the kitchen making them. I'm sure the rest of the menu is delicious as well based on the conversations at other tables. The atmosphere is excellent as well, it actually feels like walking into my grandma's house. Colorful, warm and inviting. Can't wait to go back and eat again ☺️

They are a small business mom and pop ship. Such a gem. They have the best menudo and... Everything else. The lady is always so sweet, she thanks us for eating their food!! We tried almost everything, huevos rancheros, posole, menudo, birria, burrito, taco... All amazing. Don't forget to pick up some cookies, they are so great!

It was not a very pleasant experience, we order chilaquiles. They were just chips with tapatío on the chips were not even warm. The sauce of the Chile relleno was from can, it's flavor was more like vinager than spices. I won't come back. Overall I won't give more than one star. It doesn't really taste like Mexican food I would say is more Salvadorean. ?
