Moncha Cafe, right at the corner of Valley and Walnut Grove, has a super chill, simple vibe. It’s really quiet inside, so you’ll see a bunch of students either studying or just hanging out. The staff were super patient, walking me through some of their drinks, including the monthly specials. Since they were out of popcorn chicken this time, I went with the Peach Flower Tea with Brown Sugar Agar Boba and Shrimp Tempura.
The tea smelled amazing and tasted even better. I went with 75% sugar and less ice, and the sweetness hit the spot perfectly. The brown sugar agar boba was rich and chewy, totally satisfying. The shrimp tempura came with six little pieces—crispy on the outside and so tasty with the dipping sauce. Honestly, everything just worked so well together.
If you’re looking for a quiet spot to sip some good tea and grab a light snack, Moncha Cafe is definitely worth checking out!
Come support small business. Open 12 pm to 12 am. Plenty of spaces to sit, read, work and relax. Staffs are friendly. Food and drinks are fresh.

newly opened boba on the corner of walnut grove across from mcdonald’s. a little unassuming until you walk up and see how cute the space is. open late and plenty of games for a nice third space. owner was super friendly and gave us a few recommendations. we will be back again!
-one way in, one way out parking lot. A bit odd on a busy intersection
-lots of ample seating inside
-good restroom (only one)
- think I got their midnight jasmine green tea; tastes better fresh. When it dilutes a little bit it can taste different. Also got osmantgis jelly
Assam milk tea with agar boba and protein foam. 75% sugar. Not bad. Would buy again.
Open late. Chill environment. Friendly owner. I love this spot!

Moncha Cafe is a great spot for boba lovers! The drinks are flavorful, not too sweet, and the tapioca is perfectly chewy. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service—definitely worth a visit.
My friend got their iced latte with crystal boba and I got their midnight jasmine green tea and strawberry matcha to try. My friend said her latte was pretty good. They’re known for this unique midnight jasmine green tea which is super floral, perfectly sweet, but also a bit bitter which made it not for me. I think you’d like it if you like jasmine tea tho. My go to at a cafe is always a strawberry matcha and this one had a BUNCH of bright, slightly tart, sweet, strawberry jam at the bottom. Helped balance the smooth earthy matcha but could’ve held back with it a bit. They also have WiFi, games, and other snacks here so it’s honestly a perfect spot to hangout. Me and my friend legit spent hours here just chillin and got to meet the owner who was super sweet and passionate about cafe culture. This place is pretty good
Love this place! Wifi is easy access. Super quiet, cozy, clean. Good drinks and snacks and perfect for studying
Shout out Mr. Khesayc
Amazing the midnight green tea is very good and it's unique, great indoor seating with lots of room and great place to hang out. It is a must try tea place in the sgv. I'll update more photos just in a rush but will be back here more often.
