My first time ordering from Ocean Plus and I will definitely be back! Got 1 lb salmon, 1/2 lb tuna, 1/2 lb yellowtail, 1 uni and 1 ikura. My partner and I had a feast! The fish quality is amazing and well worth the price.Very responsive ordering process and easy pick up.

This is the place you buy sashimi. Not just affordable but fresh. Somebody may say the owner is not friendly. Come on!! That is the authentic Asian fisherman way to interact with their customers!!

Ocean Plus Fish Market is my go-to for the freshest salmon and tuna sashimi in Monterey Park. The quality is unmatched, and the staff's expertise makes every visit a seafood delight. If you're a sashimi lover, this is your haven - dive into Ocean Plus for a taste of excellence!

No frill, no fuss, straight forward good fish. If you are looking for some good sashimi, then you have stumbled upon the right spot! The only complicated thing is to place the preorder online, but you can also call it in and it should be fine! Personally, I placed an order through instagram DM (@ocean_plus_fish_market) and they sent back a set of directions as well as a spreadsheet of prices and availability for the day. Then you let them know how many pounds of which ever fish you want, what time you want to pick it up, and that's it! My party ordered 1.5lb yellowtail, 0.5lb bluefin, 2lb salmon, 0.5lb toro, and 1 mackerel and everything was delicious and fresh! They cut it perfectly and "plated" it beautifully! I would also recommend getting the frozen fresh wasabi! It is such a game changer! They were super accommodatinge too! I requested that they separate my order into smaller trays because I was taking it to a picnic and they even asked if I needed extra ice! No utensils tho so bring your own if you are not taking this home! Parking is also a breeze. They are located in a big plaza with plenty of parking. When you're driving up to it, slow down or you might miss it! I've been coming to them for about 2+ years now and I will be returning for all my sashimi needs for years to come!

Same great quality for years.

Amazing fresh fish! Pre-ordered on the phone and got my fish in 30 minutes. My sashimi slices were deliciously thick and incredibly fresh. One of the best sashimi I've ever had for the fraction of a restaurant's cost.

Got yellow tail, salmon, toro, and tuna sashimi last week. Pay for the same price per lb, but gimme all the bad cuts. All the yellow tail are broken in half one side. The salmon are mostly the end of the tail. The toro are chewy, the tuna taste weird. Most of them aren't very fresh. Order is over a hundred bucks and it is a disappointing lunch for myself.Came here multiple times in the past, isn't the first time receiving such bad order. Might think twice coming next time.

Ask for the meat balls. I would drive here just for that. I think it's about $6 or $8 a pack.

spent 60ish bucks for sashimi--salmon, yellow tail, tuna, and scallops. I believe a half pound for each and a full pound for scallops. The feedback from the family was that it was pretty fresh and delicious. I would say it was a good amount of food for 2-3 hungry individuals, maybe even 4 people honestly. So I called around 11am and my order was ready for pick-up around 2pm. It's a small operation that weighs the fish with all the fixings then slices them up sashimi style for you. Overall definitely going to order from here whenever we have a get together and want to get some solid sashimi. It's unassuming on the outside but quality speaks for itself.Another thing, sashimi-grade is a real thing. Basically the fish used for sashimi has to be frozen at a certain temperature for a certain time to kill all the parasites/worms-- it just comes with the territory of fish. If you buy random fish that isn't designated as sashimi-grade, you definitely could get worms... But you don't have to worry about that here.

Ordering: It can't get any easier. I sent a text asking if I can pre-order for pickup same day and pickup time. Got a response within 5 minutes with a list of available items and current market price. For most of the fish, you must order a minimum of half a pound. Seafood: We ordered 1/2 lb yellowtail sashimi and 1/2 lb tuna sashimi. Both were really fresh! Spectacular! I regret not ordering a little more. We also got one order of the seaweed salad. It's exactly what you expect a seaweed salad to taste. The quality of the fish was good enough for me to come back. Add the easy ordering with no waiting plus plenty of parking, it just makes sense for this to be our go to spot when we are craving for sashimi.FYI: Yelp says this place closes at 6/6:30p. I believe they clean up and don't take any more orders starting at 5p. So best to text!

Ordered a platter on Father's Day around 12pm and the person over the phone informed me I can only pick up after 5pm which was fine with me. I ordered 1lb of salmon, 0.5lb of yellowtail, and scallops. I was outside the market at 5:10pm and was waiting for them to call me to let me know my order was ready but after waiting a couple of more minutes, I just went in to ask. My order was in the fridge so I guess it was ready and I can just come anytime after 5pm. They don't provide wasabi or ginger so you would need to buy them separately. I enjoyed all the items I got. Everything was fresh and my family all liked it. I would definitely come back to try their other items such as toro, bluefin, and uni.

Very fresh, must call ahead.

Ocean plus has been our go-to sashimi plate stop for the past several years. The salmon ($18.99/lb) and yellowtail ($27/lb) has always been our go-to! And never disappointments in the quality and taste. The scallop sashimi is also always so delicious! So fresh, no fishy taste or smell, clean, flavorful. The tuna is okay in our opinion, but quality is still great if you're a tuna lover. But we love specifically the bluefin tuna and Toro on certain special occasions! You can order by the pound or half pound. They now have an excel sheet with all their pricing for you: docs.google.com/spreadsh….You can also message them via Instagram to place your order. In my opinion, it's best to message or call in your order ahead of time so it's ready for you to pick up. It doesn't come with Wasabi or ginger, so that's something you'd need to order in addition. They have a large variety of items from their market I've yet to try, please check out their menu. For example, there's sashimi salmon, yellow tail, tuna, bluefin tuna, Toro, tako (octopus), oysters, geoduck, scallop, ikura, masago just to name a few! There's also fresh whole fish, salmon belly, salmon head, fish balls, dumplings, wonton to name some more. It looks like a fish market when you go in, staff is nice, doesn't look like a high class or the cleanest place, but after years of coming here for sashimi, the cleanliness and freshness of the sashimi has always been great every single time. There's free parking in the lot the market is located in.

What a hidden gem. Found this place at a Facebook group. I drove by so many times but didn't know about this fish market that sells fresh sashimi at a reasonable price. We tried most of the sashimi and it's all good! Fresh and great presentation!Call ahead of time so that they have time to prepare your order. When you pick it up, it comes with a pack of ice to ensure the sashimi is cold on your way back. Tips:- Get pack of wasabi and ginger if you don't have it at home. (Not free, extra charge)
