We always come here for the Portuguese Egg Tarts only ($2 each) and parking is always terrible on the weekends. It is located in a very busy plaza on Garvey. The tarts are always good and fresh, creamy and crunchy. This chef who used to work at Jim’s Bakery. The store front and inside aint pretty so dont bring your date here. Custom service is a hit or miss. Minimum for credit card is $20. Sometimes they do sold out so call before going!

They did a great job with the bakery, but not for business. Their price increased TWICE in just one month and close to 50% too! The other bakery did not change their pricing for at least 6 months to a year, by no more than 5%. I doubt this is the kind of good practice to get you return customers, good luck.

The place has the same COVID protocols in place, meaning you point at what to order from the outside window. Hard to tell if the bakery items are fresh thru the outside window. I bought egg tarts. The custard inside was creamy but too sweet for my taste. The raisin twist does not have enough butter in the dough, too much like bread and not Danish.

Terrible, rude service...just a few grunts from the worker. And he yells at you when he can't hear you thru the glass that you have to point at to tell him what you want.
They don't even let you in the shop. There is plastic covering the door and a table blocking you from going in. He just gave me back my credit card sliding his hand thru the plastic looking the other way. I hope the baked goods taste really good otherwise I'll drive the extra 30 minutes and go to Longs Family Bakery downtown. Actually, it's not even worth going thru that again even if it is good. I was just trying to find something closer. Longs is fantastic!

Portuguese Egg Tart: $1.60 + TAX = $1.75
I don't know any bakery that added tax on pastries.
Found nothing spectacular with the egg tarts. Too much hype.

Enjoyed the Egg Tart and Steamed BBQ Pork Bun, but that is likely because I went in the morning and they were fresh. Ordering is a little awkward because you can’t enter the store and you have to point through the glass or yell through the plastic barrier. Cash only under $20.
