A busy authentic Vietnamese restaurant. The food is tasty and you should order the grilled fish in advance.

Thien An Bo 7 Mon is a very authentic restaurant! I have been here a handful of times and I always leave here with a full belly! I am so glad I was able to locate this gem in San Gabriel! Kevin have outstanding service and makes sure his customers are happy when they are dinning here. Everyone here are very friendly and always check in to fill your water. The ambiance here is like a family style restaurant and I do see a lot of family gatherings every time I dine here. I always order the 7 courses of beef here and my mother love the catfish that they make here. The 7 courses of beef is very flavorful and they have fresh vegetable ingredients. The pricing is not bad at all!

Vietnamese restaurant specialized in the '7 course beef', including the boiled and grilled thin slides beef - both of them are pretty good but nothing too special. The beef salad has some pretty good shrimp, and the grill beef roll and meat pie are the highlights. And the the end the beef rice soup is warm and tasty. But I would recommend to only get the grill items and soup. We also got the giant fried fish - super tasty but not worth the money. you can get a much better, ocean fish in chinese restaurant for the same price. Overall it was fun to try.

The 7-course beef meal at Thien An Bo 7 Mon was an absolute treat! Every dish was flavorful and unique. From the savory beef salad to the sizzling beef wrapped in lettuce and rice paper and the tender slices cooked right at the table, each course offered something special. We had the opportunity to cook some pieces of meat in a soup pot, while other cuts were grilled to perfection. The highlight for me was the beef meatballs and the congee dish at the end. They were so comforting and packed with flavor.

The food overall was ok, but the sangria was very disappointing—it tasted more like cough medicine than a proper sangria. I also wish the staff had noticed that my husband didn’t touch his sangria after the first sip. On top of that, we weren’t even offered water during our visit. Honestly, the sangria should be removed from the menu, because it was not a sangria at all.

Their crispy skin baked catfish dish was pretty good. It was comparable to our usual place Favori in the OC.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I hadn’t been back here in almost a decade, and I’m happy to say Thien An is still serving the same high-quality food with excellent service. It’s always great when a place stays true to what made it special in the first place.
We came with friends and family and ordered the medium-sized baked catfish—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. For appetizers, we had the house special beef and shrimp salad, the charbroiled meatball, and the charbroiled meat wrapped in Hawaiian leaf, which was especially juicy and flavorful.
We also tried the house special fried rice. It was fine, but definitely overshadowed by the other dishes.
One of the most enjoyable parts of eating here is building your own spring rolls. It’s interactive, fun, and makes the meal feel a little more special. The fermented fish sauce and tamarind sauce pair perfectly with the fish and grilled meats.
The atmosphere here is warm and welcoming—great for family gatherings or celebrating with friends. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers on flavor and a great dining experience, Thien An is still one of the best.

I've been going here since the menu was just bo 7 mon and baked catfish. They've added many items over time to accommodate almost everyone. The food has been consistent over the years. The service, however, is always top notch thanks to...Kevin! Thank you for always making it memorable when we're there.

This is one of my favorite spots in the SGV. There’s no other restaurant that does the catfish as well as they do. We usually order the medium or large and it serves easily 3 to 4 people. But, I would advise adding another side as well. The stinky pineapple sauce is my favorite here. Don’t ever change!!

The baked cat fish is very special, make your own wrap with lots of fresh leaves, lettuce and pickled carrots n turnip. Very tasty and healthy.
We also had the lotus beef. Delicious.
The staff are friendly n attentive.
Will definitely come back again.
We usually call 45 minutes before - the day before & pre-order the crispy baked catfish because it takes time to make, & my friends don't like sitting around waiting.
Food is ok but no estimate waiting time, been waiting an hour still no serviced.
It was perfect every time. We had an early dinner to avoid the crowd. Called 40 minutes ahead for baked fish, and it was ready upon arrival. We're never disappointed with the food and service here. Thank you, and we'll be back soon.
First time experience beef x 7 style to eat.
