It's kind of got the vibe like you would have thought Cheers, the TV show had the minute you walk in. Everybody's friendly. The bar is perfectly set up as an Irish bar. Great service! Great drinks. Fantastic foods. Live music on the weekends. It's just one of those small holes that you wish is bigger for their success, but are thankful you're the only one that knows about it

Music and place great, food gross, over charged. Also tab was so high, pretty sure we were charged for more than we drank.

I would be delighted to provide a more favorable review, however, the establishment's avarice left me disheartened. They impose a costly entrance fee, and the beverages are considerably overpriced. Furthermore, the ambiance is lacking, and the staff could demonstrate greater hospitality.I hold a deep appreciation for Irish pubs, but this particular establishment requires significant improvements to warrant a rating exceeding two stars.

Counter order only. Came for the egg rolls but not available. The wife had the corn beef and cabbage with mashed potatoes. I had the corned beef rueben. My wifes dish was very good. My rueben had way too much sauerkraut and was soggy on the bottom. The donkey fries had no seasoning or sauce. Ketchup is for kids. Why don't restaurants realize placing a grilled sandwich flat on a plate sucks and creates too much steam, making the purpose of the crispy sandwich bread irrelevant. Stand it on its edge so it stays crispy on more surface area. 2.5

We had no idea of what would be available for Saturday right before St. Paddy’s day, but wanted to check it out. The cover charge of $10 pp was a surprise, but when there was NO room to even stand comfortably and we left immediately, they could have either refunded the cover charge or given a discount to come back in the future. We went to a different restaurant in the are where we spent good bucks and saw several other people there who had obviously been at the boxing donkey, red x on hand!! This was a missed opportunity for this place to build on future business.

We stopped by for a drink and ran into our family. They pulled tables together in mins for our entire group of 20 and had hot food and beer on the table! Love this place!

Walked into Boxing Donkey last night with my wife. We were confused at first about how everything worked with regards to the service but finally figured out that you have to order everything at the bar. I asked if they had Modelo and I received an impolite answer by the male bartender who said “You know you walked into an Irish bar? Modelo is a Mexican Lager.” Unnecessary. Everyone isn’t a beer connoisseur. He was prideful of the bar being authentically Irish but we heard no Irish songs. They played pop radio and had a woman singing live who was awful and she wasn’t singing Molly Malone. On the flip side, the food was decent and the kids who served us were fantastic. We probably will not come here again because the bartender, who I think also runs/owns the place, is very unfriendly and made my wife feel uncomfortable. Everyone is different with different personalities so maybe our judgement is off but our experience was our experience.

The best Irish bar and pub in town. Staff are welcoming and entertaining. Food is top notch fresh and delicious. And the best claim chowder in America on Friday’s. Our go-to for an enjoyable fun night.

Guess you have to be a local to get good service. Overcharge of $10 on our bill for cutting a burger in half. Bartender/waitress (blonde about 45 yrs old) snarky and very unfriendly. Won’t be back.
