Chicha Peruvian Kitchen

Disappointed after looking forward to trying Chicha for so long. My husband and I finally had a date night and chose Chicha because of the great reviews. We don’t eat a lot, so we ordered the ceviche sampler and the Chicha sampler to try a variety.
The ceviche sampler was just okay, there wasn’t much difference between the options. Then the next dish arrived, and it was the stew sampler, which we did not order. The waitress dropped it off and walked away before we could say anything. When we finally told her, instead of trying to fix the mistake, she argued with us. Not wanting to make a scene, I let it go, even though the dish names are very different.
Unfortunately, the stew sampler was awful and we barely touched it. No one checked on us during the meal. When we asked for the bill, we realized the stew sampler was $55, significantly more than the $32 dish we originally ordered. Since we didn’t eat it and didn’t want to take it home, we again had to explain the issue to the waitress. After going back and forth, she spoke with her manager and they agreed to remove it from the bill.
I understand the restaurant was understaffed and I felt bad for the waitress, but overall the experience was frustrating and disappointing. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

Great place, great food, good ambiance, Grace was my server and was quick and perfectly timed everything and was super helpful by offering suggestions in case you arent familiar with the cuisine. I personally love Peruvian food, specifically Ceviche and it is great. Aji Amarillo<3

My boyfriend and I visited Chicha in Roseville and were genuinely impressed by how beautifully Peruvian culture was represented. Every dish we tried felt vibrant and balanced.

✨ Arroz con Mariscos
This was the star of the night — deeply savory, richly aromatic and full of perfectly cooked seafood. The rice had that ideal texture: tender but not mushy, and infused with a smoky sweet, well-seasoned depth. Every bite was layered with crunch, chewy, sweetness, and satisfying.

✨ Ceviche Copa Carretillera
Bright, zesty, and incredibly fresh. The ceviche had the perfect hint of citrus (from the lime) without overwhelming the fish. The crunchy chips and corn instantly lifts your mood with its freshness.

✨ Lomo Saltado a la Antigua
Bold, comforting, and beautifully executed. The beef was tender and coated in a rich, umami sauce, and the vegetables still had their integrity. The fries soaked up just enough of the stir-fry juices to become addictive. It’s everything you want Lomo Saltado to be.

Overall, Chicha delivered a memorable evening. The flavors were authentic, the plating thoughtful, and the atmosphere warm. We left feeling like we’d just travel to Peru and back, a new favorite spot in Roseville.

Delicious and authentic flavors that reminded me of foods from my visits with family in South America! I enjoyed the seco de res and I highly recommend this! Atmosphere was beautiful and waitress was very attentive, welcoming and friendly.

Always such a delight to eat here! I absolutely love Peruvian food and Chicha does not disappoint. From the cute place, to the excellent service and most importantly the delicious food- you will come back again and again. My favorite is the ceviche mancora, jalea, anticuchos and the paella peruana.

I visited this restaurant a week ago. I ordered the fettuccini primavera and it was amazing! The taste was so delicious and actually made me smile; something I don’t regularly do. I’ve mentioned this place to family and friends insisting they have to try it! I look forward to trying other dishes! 😊

This place is amazing!!!! The ambiance, the food, the drinks everything is an experience on the weekends they play live music, very beautiful voice and nostalgic. Our server was Jesus whom went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and recommended amazing dishes!
Can’t wait to return soon!

2 words...Wow! And wow! I have yet to taste anything better here in Sacto. I had the Salmon Andino. Its was so good tears came down my cheeks. I felt like the food critic from Ratatouille. Gourmet at affordable prices. Oh, the bread pudding. Try it.

Took my wife here on a whim and we were both so glad we stopped to try our first Peruvian food! Jesus made great recommendations and the live entertainment was fun (great female vocals) and made for a great dining experience and a romantic vibe. Highly recommend!
