Moksa Barrel House is a collaborative mash of serving local Rocklin Moksa beers and food created by the chef/owner of Hawks restaurants.Right when I walked in, the size of the dining room threw me off. From the outside, it didn’t seem that big. But, it’s a pretty big with its high ceilings and significant square footage. Plenty of seating choices of communal long tables, high pub tables, and smaller tables made it a great option for any group size.Towards the back wall, to the far left is where beer and alcohol can be bought. To the far right is for ordering food and non alcoholic drinks. The wall menu board is hard to see while standing in line. At least for my aging eyes. But don’t fret, the QR menu codes are plastered all over the place. For the food, they give you a buzzer and will buzz ya for pickup. The lunch and dinner menu are the same, it includes fries $5-13 (a bunch of different kinds), burgers $8-13, chicken sandwiches $10-15, salads $6-12, hot dog $9, and soft serve. They even serve breakfast, starting at 7 am. Coffee & espresso drinks are served all day while the hot breakfast items stop at 11 am.I bought a hot dog. They serve Snake Rive Farm Wagyu dog on a potato bun. The dog was split grilled but was served lukewarm. I suppose the dog was hot off the grill but when they added the cold relish, chopped tomatoes, and other condiments, it must have decreased its temp. But despite that, I’m game to drop by again.

This is a neat place. On the weekends it gets busy. Lots of people on the patio with their dogs. It's a wait in line and order at the counter type of place with no real wait service. The food was basic, but good. We haven't tried any of the beer...yet. They were doing trivia when we were there so we didn't stay long. Not big fans of trivia. We will come back and try the beer another time. If you haven't been, it's worth it.

Love this place!! It's gotten more packed over the past few months but my family and I still love stopping by. Their salad portions are perfect, chicken burger fantastic, fries are yummy with aoli on the side, and beer and wine are great!!

Service and ambience are great but the food quite frankly isn't worth the price. The bread on my Nashville chicken sandwich was toasted to the point of staleness. Really ruined the sandwich. My co-workers experienced the same. Expect to pay upwards of $25 (inc taxes) for a sandwich, drink and fries. You can get a better sandwich at a much cheaper price at Dave's Hot chicken or any other of the dozen chicken restaurants that have opened up recently.

Limited selection of beers...too many with high ABV. Decent food selection, but difficult to eat a salad out of a deep plastic to go container. Brussel sprouts were well done with nice flavor.
Very busy place but the food was good and the atmosphere was relaxed but a very loud, noisy place. It wasn't too cold the night I went so sitting outside was great because it was much quieter.
