Tee boxes could use some help but its really a nice golf course and the staff are amazing

Great greens but it was pretty rough otherwise. The golf staff was top notch. Great service.

Not a place I would recommend for events. Turnover in the event planner position multiple times over the course of 9 months led to extreme disorganization amongst their team.

I want to start off by stating that if I could give a 0 star, I would. While I'm sure the Morgan Creek Golf Club is a wonderful place to golf, its services in regard to events and hosting are of extremely low quality. I personally held my wedding here in September 2023 and I would like to warn all brides and grooms to steer clear of this venue. To start, the original coordinator gave me the runaround with menu tasting to the point where I had to call the golf shop for a resolution. I gave Catherine four months to schedule a menu tasting for me and nothing was scheduled until I called and spoke with her boss. The venue did a great job in offering a private menu tasting. Soon after, I thought the issues with communication and follow through would be long gone as Catherine seemed to take note of my requests during our final meeting. Of course, I was wrong. At the time of my rehearsals, staff had no idea that I was scheduled for rehearsals to the point where they began locking the venue doors and my family had to ask them to stop. Catherine never put my rehearsals on the books even though she scheduled the appointment and better yet, she suggested that date and time. She unfortunately abruptly quit prior to rehearsals and did not set the venue up for success. Management on-site tried their best to accommodate me and assured me the new coordinator, Max, would take care of everything. Max tried his best but requires further training in event planning. A number of things went wrong at the actual wedding. For instance, staff were unaware of catering needs. I know this may seem highly insignificant, but I asked for cheese to be placed on the side of salads as my husband is allergic to dairy and could have been sent to the hospital. The cheese was unfortunately in the salad and he could not eat all of it. His dietary needs should have been better accommodated considering he could have had an allergic reaction. In addition to the risk of the allergic reaction, a guest at my family had a tray of drinks dumped on him during the reception, a server broke my glass beverage dispenser, I had to research and confirm that paid I for a champagne toast for all of my guests during the reception because staff did not know the catering packages, plates were inaccurately placed on tables, and staff refused to turn the air conditioning on for my vendors during set-up on a day where the weather was sunny and a high of 85° F. I was later informed by my florist that all of the flowers she had placed in the venue had died prior to the ceremony. Luckily, she came prepared with extra florals. I myself have worked for a wedding planner and luxury apartment complex for event planning so I understand things can be in disarray. That being said, for a wedding it was absolutely unacceptable. I reached out to the venue for some sort of refund for this major train wreck of a wedding and I was told only the dispenser could be refunded. I was also informed that my reasoning for wanting any form of refund was "trivial" as in of little significance. To hear this was extremely disheartening. As a bride paying $9000 to a venue, you would hope that the staff at said venue would have some empathy for things going wrong on their end. Even an apology would have been nice, but this venue offered nothing but apathy. I was appalled by this cold response and I was shocked that a venue could offer such poor customer service. As this point, me taking the time to write this review is purely to warn others considering this venue. Please don't make the same mistake I made in placing your trust in this subpar venue. You will regret it.

This course charges a premium price to play, but what you will find Is dry brown grass, sand bunkers hard as concrete and greens to match. Water the dam course!!

Amenities leave a lot to be desired. There are no bathrooms on the course. Greens were spotty and area short of green was hard dirt with no grass. Took over 6 hrs to play 18 holes. I wouldn't recommend this course.

Pace of play at the turn makes this course unplayable. Walkers looking for their balls for 10 minutes with no Marshall regulating pace. Greens are ok. Lots of dirt patches and weeds in and around the bunkers.

I will never go back to this golf club. Besides it does not drain well after rains the service is terrible. I went into restaurant area after golf & ordered a glass of wine only to be told that I would have to buy the whole bottle! They do not want to open a bottle & then it might go bad. What?? Wine does not go bad especially white wine. They charged me $27 for an off brand white wine that I could have purchased at Bev Mo for $8!!! when I said I would bring my own wine next time the manager said they charge a $10 corkage fee?? I can get a glass of wine at a very prestigious restaurant for a lot less than $27. I will not go back to their suboptimal golf course & terrible service!! my friends will not golf at this course again also. There are too many nicer courses in the area that treat their customers better & are in better condition than Morgan Creek. you just lost a lot of clients

Super cute place to have a wedding. The outdoor gazebo was a great place to have the ceremony. The inside of the venue was a large space, good size dance floor, and beautiful white drapery. There were large windows but they have curtains to cover them when the sun was shining brightly. The food we had as wedding guests were two salads, spring vegetables, finger potatoes, mushroom ravioli, and steak. It was very tasty and everyone was full.

Morgan creek has been steadily declining over the past year or so.I've played here 7 times over the past year and each visit is a bit worse than the last, the tee boxes are overgrown, the greens are over watered, and the fairways are either dry or soaking wet. The food in the clubhouse is beyond bad, I ordered a sausage breakfast burrito and what came out was cold eggs with plastic sausage and unmelted cheese. The hot dog one of my friends got was even cold... how do you mess up a hot dog? Overall this course needs some love and attention that it clearly isn't getting with their current management, if you are charging your guests $60 for a round you should hold yourself to a standard that meets the price you are charging.

I'm so disappointed in Morgan Creek. The fairways and greens could've used some care. But the biggest reason for my review is that my foursome had enough time to finish our eighteen holes, but the clubhouse and bathrooms were closed when we got to the turn! There was a private event but we were never notified. I think they should've informed us ahead of time so that we could've prepared. When we checked in they could have told us but there was no mention of it. Very disappointed and I won't be going back.

As a bride, I had a terrible experience with the staff at Morgan Creek. I would recommend you look elsewhere for a wedding venue. Two weeks before my wedding, I had no choice but to leave this venue as Nick and Madison were purposely making it extremely difficult for me to have my dream wedding. Madison is extremely rude and has no customer service skills.I had originally met with Brittany who gave me, my fiancé, sister, mother in law, and brother in law a tour. She was nice and made me feel great about the whole process. Morgan Creek had stopped offering family style dinners, but I had told Brittany that was very important for us as we are middle eastern and it's our tradition to have tables set for our guests. She said she would allow it and we'd have no problem with it. She also said we can use their glassware, silverware, etc.. I remember this specifically because I had asked her what their plates looked like and she showed us her plate she was eating her lunch off of and said they look like that. She said normally the plates aren't included because we were doing outside catering, but it wasn't a big deal and she'd include it for us if we decided to go with Morgan Creek. She even wrote it down in our packet that she gave us to take home. It was a great deal. She told me I'd have to sign an addendum for the food since we are doing outside catering so that Morgan Creek is not responsible for any issues with the food which was understandable. As soon as our contract was signed she emailed me back letting me know that she quit and I'd have to contact Nick the manager from now on. I called Nick right away and told him I had this deal with Brittany and he said that he would honor it.Madison started to take over and we met weeks before my wedding. I went with a few family members this time so we can get down the table layout for the hall for our seating chart and figure out what size serving plates they had so we would let our caterer know how much food to make. As we start setting a sample table, Madison starts tripping about all the dishes I'm using after I told her Brittany had told me I can use it. I mean, I was already paying for dishwashers and servers so I'm not sure why they made it such a big deal to use their plates. Madison emailed me after the meeting. She went through my emails with Brittany and basically said she doesn't trust me. And I sent her a copy of the packet and apologized cause I thought it was in the email but it was actually on the packet. My brother in law went to meet with them to try and come to an understanding. Madison rolled her eyes at him and said "I don't even want to talk to the bride" "I'm so frustrated I need to leave the room". How unprofessional. It's my wedding and she's acting like a hysterical drama queen. She said that she's already doing me a favor by providing me bartenders.. (that I'm actually paying for), and 2 servers (that Morgan creek must provide for any and all events.. it's in their contract). And she said instead of charging me $4/place setting she should be charging me $8/place setting. How petty and ridiculous. I had never encountered such a nasty personality before. I also found out that Nick and Madison are dating. So it made sense why Nick was always defending her. In the emails Nick told me he had a handful of weddings before mine. Then in another email Madison was saying she did over 25 weddings since she's been hired (which was around the time Brittany left) and she never had issues with anyone except me. Absolutely ridiculous as seeing a lot of people left bad reviews for Madison's behavior. Screaming in a parking lot during someone's wedding? Absolutely no class at all. My centerpieces/decor were floating candles, and I let Nick know about the open flame and he said it would be fine since it will be in the cylinder vases. He also said my catering company can use their fridges to keep the food cool. He also said my vendors can come set up the da

The golf course is in absolutely horrible condition. Tee boxes and "sand" traps are in horrible shape. Many greens on the front nine have unrepaired ball marks all over. Golf carts are in terrible shape - dirty, bald tires and torn seats although some have been "repaired" with duct tape. Hardpan dirt in many places around the greens. Definitely would not recommend it, especially for the price.

Garbage garbage garbage. Stay away stay away , Unbelievable how rude and unprofessional those clowns were I'm surprised they still in business. What a joke of a manger they got. Nick and Madison. They need a major major education on attitude and customer service beside the horrible carpet they have and the low maintenance venue. That place belongs no were in placer county.
