My husband and I had Sunday brunch at Paul Martin's, and we were both blown away. His Eggs Benedict and my Seafood Omelette were outstanding. We both said they were "the best" we've eaten, and we eat out a lot. We also had the Cheddar Biscuits, and, of course, Mimosas. Suffice it to say, we'll be going back soon.
Disappointed by the Experience--Not Worth the Price I reserved a booth for four a full week in advance for a business dinner, specifically requesting a booth. When we arrived, we were seated at a standard table next to the kitchen door--far from the ambiance I expected. It felt like they hadn't even considered my reservation and simply placed us wherever was convenient. For a restaurant that markets itself as upscale and inviting--elevating classic American cuisine with high-quality ingredients and polished hospitality--Paul Martin's missed the mark. We started with the brussels sprouts appetizer, which we expected to enjoy before our entrées. Instead, it was brought out alongside the main courses, disrupting the pacing of the meal and making it feel like the kitchen was simply rushing through service. To their credit, the main dishes were well-executed. Each plate was thoughtfully prepared and flavorful, showing the kitchen's skill with classic American fare. However, the chef's dessert special--a skillet brownie with vanilla ice cream--was surprisingly ordinary. It lacked the creativity or refinement you'd expect from a place at this price point. At nearly $200 for dinner, the experience simply didn't deliver. Dine at your own risk.
service was great. arrived at 3:15 and there was plenty of seating available. server was attentive. drinks were we made and the food was delicious. i had the smash burger and my wife had the street tacos with chicken. great spot to eat.
My husband and I had dinner here last night and overall we had a really nice experience. The only issue we ran into was with our drink order. I ordered a glass of Meiomi Pinot Noir, but the person who seated us let me know they were out and offered to give me a more expensive wine for the same price. I appreciated that, but we ended up being charged the regular price. It was not a big deal, just a little confusing. The drinks also took longer than expected to arrive, especially since it was just wine and a beer. Aside from that, everything else was great. The food was good, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the rest of the service was smooth. We would definitely come back and hope the drink service is a little quicker next time.
We had the shrimp tacos and the Asian Chicken Salad, which were very good. The decadent chocolate cake was tasty and rich. Our server did a nice job even they were very busy.
My girlfriends and I met for dinner but decided to have the happy hour special with drinks and food. Great value! We enjoyed the ambience and the server was great.
Biscuits order as an appetizer came after the dinner was actually served. By then we were pretty full and done with everything. No desserts were offered. They just brought the bill. Seems like the waitress didn't have a lot of patience or she was waiting to go home.
Everything was wonderful except... the Halibut. Filet was cooked and seasoned perfectly (med) Asparagus was very flavorful 7 cocktails were very very tasty (tiny bit slow but they were slammed. Appetizers were very tasty: cheddar biscuits, pokie (tiny bit spicy), braised short ribs were excellent, mashed were very flavorful. Beurre Blanc sauce was good but could use a bit more Got it Halibut was cut thinner and overcooked. Flavor was very good. Maybe ask for lightly cooked.
Unfortunately this was an experience we have had before. Calamari appetizer was chewy and tough…salad was presented with wilted leaves, a couple of tomatoes. Main course was halibut…not great but not terrible. Sides of Brussel sprouts and cauliflower were delicious! Fries were perfect! Bill was presented…overcharges.
Typically one of my favorite restaurants in the area with good food and drinks. Last few visits the quality of the food and service do not match the price point. Hopefully it improves really enjoy this restaurant.

Our waitress, Lindsey, was amazing! Rib eye was a little flat but tasted great. Salt & pepper shrimp wasn't cleaned. Overall was decent, but more impressed with our server than the food

Service was great however food was not as great Food was just ok and wasn't worth the price. I don't mind spending more money on quality food, but this was just ok food
We had a good time celebrating our anniversary. The waiter was very nice and gave us a Great deal.
The food was great, but service was not so great. We sat outside and our waitress barley came out to check on us. Constantly would forget things we asked for. Would have to ask several times for items. Other staff was more helpful. At one point the manger came out ans just walked passed us but made sure he stopped a couples table and ask how they were and how food was. Then walked off.
