A delightful evening of good food and excellent service. Our server, Thomas, was very good and added greatly to our enjoyment of the evening. He provided tips & inputs to our selections, but allowed us time to enjoy as well. The halibut was wonderful and the fried chicken was very tasty. An excellent house salad, tasty spinach and artichoke starter, and butter cake with ice cream for dessert. All lovely.

Unfortunately this was one of our worst experiences at Paul Martins. It was just my husband and I for dinner, and we ordered our food within about 15 minutes of sitting down (7:30 reservations). For two house salads, an order of calamari and the fish tacos, it took almost an hour for our food to arrive. And that was after checking with the waiter as to what was the delay. It most certainly was not due to being busy, because the restaurant was far from having many diners to serve. And after our waiter told us it would just be “a couple more minutes” we still waited another 15. Not sure what the hold up was, but not rushing back any time soon.

Dinner was delicious—we all had something different and all dishes were great. Excellent service as well.

It was pretty good, had to ask for a waiter and a menu twice before we got anything, and the crowd was minimal, so a little slow.. food was good once we got it

Food was very good but service was abysmal. It took an extended time for the waitress to visit us initially as well as between courses. Bus staff was poor as well - they brought the main dishes and tried to shove them onto the table despite it being crowded with dirty dishes from appetizers. As he was about to walk away we had to ask him to clear the dirty dishes, which we shouldn't have to do, especially at this price point. We left enjoying the food but felt let-down from the poor, inattentive service.

Wish they had more food options. Service was great. Food was consistently good. Excellent cocktails.

We arrived at our reservation at 12:15, we were served our meal at 12:55. Is 40 minutes too long to wait? It seemed like it to us. Then they were so short staffed that it took another hour to get the check. We had three birthdays at the table and they usually bring out a dessert for the birthday but he could only bring out two. We're old ladies look at our licenses if you doubt it. After our wait we thought they should have brought out the three. It's Paul Martin my fav restaurant and they usually do everything right but I brought my three friends and had to apologize because even though the server was very good and kind to us, this wait shouldn't happen. He was covering for other people. Food is very good and the water and tea glasses with lots of ice is first rate, the music was perfect and it's a great place so management please staff well.

I've dined numerous times at Paul Martin's / ordered chicken parmesan for 1st time -won't do that again. Flavorless and overcooked / however service was terrific and will definitely return to my neighborhood favorite.

Paul Martin's is one of the most comfortable restaurants around. The tall ceilings and widely dispersed tables make for a quiet place. You can converse at normal volume levels and be clearly heard. This is not true for many other top shelf restaurants. The food is tip top, completely satisfying in taste and appearance. The only reason I did not rate the food at five stars is that the menu is not as adventurous as some other restaurants like Hawks. On the other hand, it's not as expensive as Hawks. Service has always been solicitous and careful. Overall it's one of our favorite places for dining out.

We sat and watched other tables being sat after us Only to get served first , had to ask for a server I sent my entire dinner back I ordered the halibut which was drowning in sauce and to make things worse They put in on the hot line lights to keep warm or something I and it tasted like frozen fish and fishy HORRIBLE!!! Maybe a dinner you'd get from Denny's restaurant We won't be back !!!

Paul Martin's is one of my favorite restaurants so we went to dinner with friends on Saturday night, our food was delicious. We ordered from the special menu for summer and I have to say it didn't disappoint !! I had the fried Chicken with two sides and a wonderful salad, everyone else went with the steak and trimmings. The portions were great with food to take home. The price point phenomenal and the food was fresh and enjoyable. Ordered a Mai Tai for my cocktail, tasty and refreshing and added to the overall experience!!! Our server Macy was very attentive and the service was excellent.Thank you Paul Martin's for a wonderful night.

The food was phenomenal. I had the steak frites and it was delicious. The service was also excellent and our server was genuine and made the experience very pleasant. I don't recall her name but she had glasses. Kudos to her.

It was Sunday and not many people were present and that contributed to a low noise level. The bar keep is a long time professional and it shows. Because the drink menu is VERY expensive ($16 for a martini), I ordered the House Gin Martini. Their well gin is New Amsterdam which is a cheap but adequate gin. My in house dressing Caesar salad was excellent. Troubles began when our entree was served. My steak frites was not lukewarm but cold. I seldom complain but this was over the top unacceptable. I called for the restaurant manager and he could not have been more polite and apologetic. He immediately took care of the problem and offered us a gratuitous desert. I declined, but he insisted. When my re-plate was served, the quality of the meat was poor. I blame myself for not asking what cut of meat they use for "steak frite." Usually a high dollar restaurant will serve filet mignon or sirloin tips. This was a tough skirt steak (or something of the sort). Regardless, for the price, I found the quality to be lacking. My wife's equivalent of a French Dip was also cold and of poor quality. The service is very good. The ambiance is very nice. The bar area is huge. We may have had an off night, I don't know. I just know what we experienced and the food quality was weak. This was a test run and I'm sorry to say, we won't be going back. Beware: Prices are a bit stiff here. I.E., artichoke / spinach dip goes for about $18. Most non-beer alcoholic drinks are $16 on up.

We took our daughter to Paul Martin's for her birthday. Our server Erik was fantastic! He took care of everything we needed. We had a slight hiccup with one of the meals (just on the veggies for me, it was a veggie I picked that I ended up exchanging for something different), and I'm glad I did, I loved the cauliflower suggestion Erik brought me, along with my filet mignon. Thanks also to Kevin for making us/my daughter feel special on her special day, we all enjoyed the fabulous desserts! We'll see you again soon I'm sure...
