Manager Allison at the Roseville Fountains location has terrible customer service skills. As someone who has worked in the food and drink industry I have seen a lot but I have never had this terrible of an experience with a MANAGER at a coffee shop. Absolutely embaressing for Peets Coffee and I hope the company knows about her behavior. Other than that liked the pastries just wish I was treated like a human being before I sat down to enjoy it.

This happened Peet’s Coffee on Gallery Blvd in Sacramento (near the Fountain & Galleria) around 01.27.2026 2:20 PM, and it was honestly one of the most degrading customer service experiences I’ve had. I came in with my service dog, who is trained to help prevent panic episodes. I was holding her in my arms the entire time. She was calm, quiet, and not bothering anyone. Instead of politely explaining any policy or offering a reasonable solution, the employee immediately became confrontational and told me that my dog “could not be here,” even after I explained she is a service animal. I was then threatened with security. I was not loud. I was not causing a disturbance. My dog was fully under control. Yet I was treated differently than other customers, and the interaction felt personal and hostile from the very beginning. A normal, respectful interaction would have been: “Excuse me, could you please keep the dog on the floor?” That would have solved everything. Instead, the situation was escalated into something humiliating and unnecessary. What bothered me most was not even the request itself -it was the attitude. The lack of basic human respect. The feeling that I had to defend my right to simply order coffee like everyone else. This experience felt like discrimination rather than customer service. Service animal laws apply everywhere, and no one should be made to feel unwelcome for following them. I left feeling embarrassed and shaken. If this is how customers with service animals are treated here, it raises serious concerns about staff training and the overall culture of this business. I would not recommend this place to anyone who expects to be treated with dignity and professionalism.

Unfortunately, I cannot be considered a fan of Peet's coffee anymore. I have been a Peet's fan for over 20 years and the coffee used to be top-notch. The coffee is now great or absolute watered down dirty water, but for the price I have to say this is now just unacceptable. The menu switch now is just too much. Now, the only price that is shown is medium at $3.85 and the large is $4.20 for a large dark roast coffee? I now go to Starbucks where at least you get an average dark roast coffee every time.
Stay clear if you're a United States Military Veteran. Disrespectful Manager. Wouldn't help me get the code to security locked men's room door. Blew me off. Disturbing. I'm a positive reviewer. This is unacceptable.

Delicious tea, amazing service, they are so friendly here. I think the company could do more to make the atmosphere cozy like adding more furniture/decorations and less empty spaces, but it's still great.

The tall, blonde woman with the septum ring makes dreadful coffees. Can’t be bothered for extra foam and treats the place less like a coffee shop and more like an institution or school cafeteria.
