Pushkin's Bakery & Cafe Roseville

I'm so grateful for Pushkin's Bakery & Cafe. I have R.A. along with gluten intolerance and dairy allergies for the past 40 years. So, this place is Heaven on Earth! Everything is delicious. Everything!

I stopped for my first time (from the Reno/Lake Tahoe area) and ordered the oatmeal cranberry cookie, oatmeal sandwich, oatmeal cranberry sandwich, and the marinated tofu banh mi. I've only tried the oatmeal cranberry cookie and the oatmeal sandwich, but they were delicious 😋. The oatmeal sandwich reminds me of the one at Senza Gluten-free bakery in Las Vegas. Although the items were a bit pricey, it was totally worth it. The banh mi was good, but it was a little spicy. Next time, I will leave the jalapeños off 😅. I only gave two stars for the atmosphere. It was very crowded at lunchtime, and similar to the gluten-free craze in the early 2000's, it was clear many of the people there chose the gluten-free lifestyle, and it did not choose them lol. If you decide to go here and actually have an autoimmune disease, you may want to eat it outside or get it to go as the tables are really close together for an establishment geared towards immunocompromised individuals. Also, I would have liked to see less chocolate items because many of us with autoimmune disease also have GERD, and chocolate is a no.

I wish there was a place like this closer to me, whenever I visit Sacramento I stock up on pastries for the freezer. I also get sandwiches and coffee here and they're good too! I have food allergies so this place is a gift.

atmosphere was pretty

The worst place ever burned down the food. We were waiting for the food more than 30 minutes. Don’t waste your money in time. They suck at making food. The drinks taste like the ground like you’re drinking grass taste like chemicals

I ordered this Mother’s Day cake for my mom since she has celiac disease. We have been coming to Pushkins for years and it’s always hit or miss on their baked goods. Naturally, I was a bit leery ordering the cake and should have known better. The cake was gorgeous however, my parents said the cake was incredibly dry and had no flavor. My dad went on to say that he felt like he was eating a cardboard box. My mom mentioned that the lemon flavoring was artificial tasting, and the frosting was the consistency of play dough. Really disappointed.

Great Service. Great Food. The employees are all friendly and give great recommendations (Royal is my favorite, they are great with customers!) favorite sandwich is the turkey/bacon and the cupcakes are to die for! All gluten free!

We used to love this place. My girlfriend has celiac disease so she can't eat out anywhere else. We ate here so much we wore ourselves out on it and took a break for a while. We came back the other week and the prices had jumped up and the quality dropped. The requests we made on our items were ignored and the sandwich was cold and soggy. It wasn't great. She asked why the prices went up so much on their Instagram and the owner went CRAZY! Wow, I can't believe how unprofessional and rude the guy is on their socials. There's no excuse for being mean and talking down to your customers, but looking back at his content, the guy has some serious interpersonal problems. We're over it, never coming back.

GF sandwiches are the best. Pastries are unlike any other GF!

When I'm in Roseville I make a point to stop here. As a vegetarian that leans vegan this place rocks. LOTS of yummy choices. Everything is always so fresh and beautiful. Nice service too!

mudpie (dairy free) cookies are absolutely delicious. I had given up on cookies because of my food allergy until I found this bakery. The cookie was perfect, crunchy, gooey and quality chocolate. Perfect start for my day!
