I've been to this location many times, and usually am satisfied with the Chile verde shrimp taco plate that comes with two tacos and chips and beans. It's possible for a business to have a bad day, I get it, but this one day was just so bad for me, I have no desire to ever go back. I guess it started with the lack of training for the kid behind the register. I asked for the tacos without the chipotle sauce (because frankly, mystery mayonnaise mixtures do not belong in tacos, like ever) which didn't seem to be an issue. But then I had to be all healthy, and the employee struggled to figure out how to enter in fresh greens instead of beans & chips (even though this is a standard option on any plate combo on the menu). After pressing multiple buttons and serious stares at the machine, I got a total of 12 dollars and change. Which I'm not the greatest at math, but even I know an 8 buck plate isn't going out the door at 13! So then I had to raise a brow and mention that something might be wrong here...at this point, I knew my shrimp tacos were destined for disaster. The total was fixed, but of course, when I got my plate, the tacos were laced with chipotle sauce and the fresh greens that were so complicated to get, were sad, wilted, bare greens with no dressing at all...not even a splash of chipotle sauce.

Amongst the shittiest meals u will ever have. Bland. Tasteless. Extremely over priced. The tables r filthy and sticky. I came to eat here after 10 years to remind myself why I can't eat like a king everyday hahahaahaha Terrible. You would get a better burrito in county jail.

I'm not one to leave a bad review, but too many things went wrong. Initially, I walked up to the register and the cashier guy was not. friendly at all! He was rude, and seemed inconvenienced by me. Then, I patiently waited for my food and noticed that every family who ordered after me was getting their food. I mean I ordered a simple street taco plate, and families of four or five were getting their food before me. I notice there was a plate of tacos sitting by the cooking station for over 15 min, so I get back in line to ask about them. 30 min later, my name is called and I receive a cold plate of tacos. Not happy, I understand it's busy but I feel as though that all could have been easily prevented. Might want to think about talking to that employee about proper customer service as well.

Ordered a salad that came with avacado. They may gave me a tablespoon of avocado. Went back to ask for more and gave me 1 more tablespoon and said that's all that comes with it. I ordered a canned sparkling water, the can was filthy. Service was slow. I paid $10 for basically a bowl of lettuce with 6 shrimp.

Server was so quick with the order that he never asked if I wanted anything to drink. California “Burrito” is more of an overpriced “seasoned fries burrito” than the tomato, guac, and chicken pieces could make up for. Like, if I wanted a Friritto I would have gone to a Del Taco...bland chips were bad as well.

Very disappointed today. The wait time first of all was outrageous only one cashier working on a Saturday afternoon. After receiving my food the meat was all Gristle. One of the tacos I did not even eat.

ZERO stars actually! Health Code Laws state that you are not allowed to handle uncooked food with your bare hands, you MUST wear gloves. So I ordered a salad and then watched the MANAGER grab handfuls of lettuce and throw it into the bowl. I immediately asked for my money back and reminded him that he needed to wear gloves when handling food. You CANNOT handle money, which is filthy, and then grab lettuce, or a tortilla, or anything with those filthy hands. He stated that he had washed his hands, even so, not as clean as gloves, and he was still violating the Health Code and setting a bad example for the other employees. I did get my refund.

FOOD - Chipotle Orange Salad: grilled shrimp with mandarin oranges, avocado, roasted corn, red chiles, black beans, tortilla strips, mixed greens topped with chipotle orange vinaigrette. This salad was really good. The portion was huge. The sauce had a slight kick. 4/5 SERVICE: Fast and friendly. 4/5 FINAL THOUGHTS: I don't know why the rating is so low here. The food was good and the service was quick. I'm definitely coming back.

We just had a fantastic ordering experience with the Rubio's at the Galleria. Christian working at the counter helped with my wife with her vegan dietary needs. He took his time explaining how to turn her meal into the perfect vegan meal. The order came out perfect. Now if all restaurants had people like Christian who took the time explain the menu for people with special dietary needs, there would be 5 star reviews.
