I love this place, every time I visit I always try a new flavor since all the flavors are so unique. It may sound weird but my absolute favorite flavor is the olive oil. Just recently I tried their new cereal flavors and my favorite one was the coconut pandan, it wasn't very sweet and the coconut flavor was prominent and not artificial. The staff was very sweet and patient when my friends and I wanted to sample all these different flavors. The shop is clean and organized, there isn't any seating in there but that's fine considering there is so much seating outside in the fountains. The only reason that I'm not giving this place 5 stars is only because a single scoop of ice cream is $6.50. The scoops are big but still expensive.

It is darn difficult to find ice cream shops offering vegan options. So when I was in the Fountains shopping center in Roseville, I made a point to check out Salt & Straw. They commonly have vegan options on the menu. But I’m picky on the taste. So I was super glad that Salt & Straw allows sampling before purchase. I sampled three of the four options, all were pretty tasty. Not an easy feat for vegan ice cream.I sampled the …-Chocolate Passionfruit Truffle - It's a limited edition flavor. It had a bold, tarty fruit flavor with subtle hints of chocolate. Tasty but I’m not that into the tartness.-Marionberry Coconut Sherbet - It had a significant coconut flavor with marionberries.-Peanut Butter Brittle Chocolate Fudge - I ordered this. Yum! Sure enough, it tasted like peanut butter with ribbons of fudge. Both equally starring in this flavor.Things to note:- Prices are pricey. A scoop will run about $6.50.- The shop has no seating. However, the plaza has a couple of outdoor communal seating areas. I can’t chew gum and walk at the same time. But oddly enough I can eat ice cream (cone or cup) and walk at the same time.Vegetarian options: They offer 3-4 vegan ice cream flavors.

I love salt n straw! I've been to several locations. This one is great, I love trying all their flavors. There's always a line but it's inside and fast moving. Tons of space inside. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Long line, because new girls was slow. But the ice cream was good. And they have different flavors, I would say unusual for ice cream. But check it out !

We've been to other Salt & Straw locations and love that one is in Roseville. The inside has no seating but there's plenty of outdoor space to sit by the fountains. The staff was friendly and helpful with letting us taste a couple flavors. We love that there's some classic flavors but also adventurous ones. We love the chocolate gooey brownie. One day we'll have to try pear and blue cheese. Their ice cream is rich but not too decadent. The prices are a little on the higher end. One of favorite things about Salt & Straw is they use real spoons instead of plastic for tasting. Our kids love putting the spoon in the little slots. Overall it's a great addition to the Fountains!

Delicious like always. Best icecream around! Great service too, they let you try all the flavors.

I knew this place was gonna be good when I saw the high reviews and the long line of people waiting. It was definitely worth the wait. They provide many samples and the ice cream is definitely higher quality. You can taste it with every bite. The ambiance was great with it being clean, lots of lights, and an orderly fashion line to wait in. I will definitely be back.

Cute trendy ice cream shop with delicious unique flavors! Located in the Fountains by the Galleria. Parking can get tough during peak dinner times and on weekends. Best bet for parking is parking in the Whole Foods lot and walking, it's only like a 3 minute walk to Salt and Straw and you don't have to cross any streets or anything, just need to stroll through the parking lot. First thing I noticed when we walked in was that there weren't any tables or chairs inside? I'm not sure if they had put them away for the night because we got there late or they truly don't have tables and it's a grab and go type place. Luckily the fountains have places to sit down throughout. When we got to the counter the server went above and beyond! She encouraged us to try as many flavors as we wanted and was very sweet! Every time one of us asked to try a flavor she immediately asked the rest of our party if anyone else wanted to try it too so she could get their samples all in one go. She was seriously so nice and awesome! They give out free samples on metal spoons, not disposable plastic ones. Some people might be afraid of that being unsanitary but the spoons appeared to be clean and I honestly liked that the shop was trying to cut down on plastic trash/waste. The flavors were all unique! I don't think I saw any traditional flavors, they all had a twist. I'm having trouble remembering the flavors since they were also uniquely named but apparently they change their menu monthly, so it wouldn't matter much anyway. I just know that the cookie one, the bananas foster one, and the coffee one were really good. Some flavors are a bit too unique though lol there was a blue cheese one that we tried and the flavor wasn't really fit for ice cream. They also sell their flavors in little pints you can pick up in their freezer to the side. They're a bit pricy though, well actually the whole shop is pretty price since it's gourmet ice cream but honestly worth it if you can afford it. All in all a great experience and I definitely recommend Salt and Straw for a sweet treat! Easily my new favorite ice cream shop in Roseville.

I'm so excited that we finally have a Salt & Straw here! Their ice cream is the best! I don't waste my time going anywhere else for ice cream, now.

Walked in around 8:30p last night and no one behind the counter showed acknowledgement that we walked in. The 2 females behind the counter carried on a conversation while one continued to apply lip gloss with her back still towards us. It just wasn't good customer service. When checking out, I did get a more pleasant interaction from the female that originally had her back towards us. Management needs to teach their new hires how to interact with customers.

Forgot that this was opened and within the fountains instead of the mall. Nice, large clean space with timings 11-11pm for all your ice cream cravings. Lots of flavors to consider. The nondairy flavors such as banana foster was so good that I would never have considered it veg. You can sample any flavors you like. I went for the classic olive oil and strawberry balsamic. Lovely customer service.
