Recommended by a friend to get the sushi burrito. A disappointment. Barely any flavor, no sauce, and way to much rice with little to no meat. I haven't tried anything else from here but the sushi burrito is a disappointment.

Tldr: great and affordable
Went to Japan in January and after that most American sushi is disappointing, but this is absolutely not. It's not the same but it does the American take on sushi very well while still being the most affordable sushi place I've found in California.
After looking online for a sushi restaurant between auburn-Folsom and Douglas I happened to find Sumo Sushi a tasteful decorative restaurant with Japanese style art work and 50% off sushi rolls. I met with my husband for lunch and it was our first time. We ordered two rolls with a hot tea and miso soup. Rolls were decent size and delicious. I have to mention the price was shocking to say the least due to our inflation crisis happening everywhere. We both were delightedly to have paid for a meal under $30 for two! Seems like anywhere you go for lunch nowadays you are certainly looking at $30+ highly recommended.

If you are looking for an amazing deal for sushi this is the spot, they have a 5 roll deal that has a delicious selection of 12+ rolls to choose from, I personally love to do there lunch bento and order a roll, the thunder fire is by far my favorite, it's a spicy mix of poki on top of delicious sushi, there prices are very reasonable for a sushi restaurant, and the food has been prepared perfectly every time. I absolutely love sumo sushi 😁 Just make sure you check their hours, they are closed midway through the day.
