I've been coming here for about ten years now with my family, and we always leave happy. Their sushi is delicious and I have never once had a bad experience. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Tldr: great and affordable
Went to Japan in January and after that most American sushi is disappointing, but this is absolutely not. It's not the same but it does the American take on sushi very well while still being the most affordable sushi place I've found in California.

After looking online for a sushi restaurant between auburn-Folsom and Douglas I happened to find Sumo Sushi a tasteful decorative restaurant with Japanese style art work and 50% off sushi rolls. I met with my husband for lunch and it was our first time. We ordered two rolls with a hot tea and miso soup. Rolls were decent size and delicious.
