booked here for my wedding in May of 2024. At the time of booking, I put down $2,000 which $1,500 was non refundable in February. Unfortunately we were not able to have our wedding local anymore and let them know in June leaving an 11 month notice to give them time to book our very popular date. They were not willing to work with us and give us anything except the $500 we paid over the original amount. Yes, I understand that we signed an agreement stating we would forfeit the deposit if we changed our mind but we gave them an 11 month notice.Our other vendors were very accommodating and flexible and thanked us for giving enough notice & let us know that they will have plenty of time to get that date booked. We received almost all of our deposits back from DJ, photographer and videographer . When I asked if timber creek booked my date would I then be getting it back. I was told no basically because they start working on my wedding The day that deposit goes down, which is a lie because I only met one time with the coordinator for less than 20 minutes for payment. There was a time when I was trying to email the coordinator to talk about my wedding and I got a bounce back saying that that email no longer existed. I panicked and called a few times and finally found out that google took their email away but I was never notified from the venue of this.After realizing that they were not going to give me all the money back I spoke with Jenny in regards to getting the 500 of 2000 via check . When I received the check my name was incorrectly spelled. I tried to cash it anyways but the check declined for some reason (not due to the name). So I tried again at another location and the teller wouldn’t even attempt to cash it due to the name not matching. I contacted Jenny and yes she was super attentive in trying to get it fixed and a new check was overnighted. When I open the check I found the name was misspelled AGAIN. We had another venue on hold & they were waiting for us to get our money from Timber creek within 7-14 days as I was told from Jenny but we have now lost it due to these inconveniences. Due to us moving. We are trying to plan a wedding out of state and it’s so frustrating that we couldn’t get our money back in time to book the venue we loved and already got to visit. We’re back to square one with our venue search.I wasn’t going to write this review however,After more thought and speaking to other vendors, contracts are able to be voided IF THE COORDINATOR WANTS TO, I understand they are for protection of LAST MINUTE cancels but we gave 11 months. They just want to make the money. 2 : after receiving the second check incorrect again I just realized how much they do not pay attention to detail. They kept 1,500 of my dollars and couldn’t even give me $500 back in a timely manner. I am happy that I did not have to get married there.Over one month later I have the correct check but it is declining every time I try to cash it so I am still waiting for my funds. I spend an entire afternoon trying various places and was told by Jenny I have to try their bank. I have never had issues cashing a check with my own personal bank account and think it’s absurd to miss work and go to their specific bank.I’ve escalated these concerns to the director of food and beverage, Jason smith He admitted to being aware of the situation but has not returned a single one of my calls. I sent a 4 paragraph email to him expressing my sadness, struggle and hopelessness but he replied with a single sentence stating they have done all they can not even an apology. I asked for someone else to talk to and he replied with the same sentence again. I also made a complaint against Jenny and he included her in the email. I found that very unprofessional as that complaint should have remained confidential and used as a coaching opportunity. I’m asking for someone from the company to view these problems from my point of view and make it right but I’ve yet to reach someone who cares and is truly sorry for what’s been mishandled on their part.

As DJ Rockalot I performed for a wedding at the Timber Creek Ballroom and even though this event kept changing, there was no private coordination and it scalled down in size, it didnt phase the staff whom performed flawlessly and the event was a sucess!Nearby activities: Golf, cycling, hiking, walkingWalkability: VeryFood & drinks: Great selection, nice facilities

Sun City Roseville is in a scenic location. Built on what was once a pistachio farm, the community and golf course are nestled in peaceful groves of California's native Valley Oaks, Live Oaks, and Blue Oaks. It feels like foothill living. The country club has decent facilities and activities.

Attended the craft fair at the Timbers Lodge area on Saturday and it was packed. What a nice facility and what a great bunch of volunteers. Extremely well managed and a great turnout.Walkability: Looks of level land

Although Sun City has everything to offer someone looking to be involved and busy, there is something missing. For me, it lacks a sense of "home". It seems oriented to elderly couples or groups of elderly women who stick together. I found it hard to go on an outing alone and felt out of place without a partner. It isn't quite like a regular residential neighborhood, such as those I have experienced as a home owner in other places. Maybe if I golfed it would help. GOLF is the BIG thing here. I do like having the Timbers Restaurant handy for meals, though. Maybe with time, Sun City Roseville will grow on me more.
