Clean floors and tables. Well lit. Very well done soft scrambled eggs. Great service provided by Megan! Reasonable prices for the times. Open earlier than Rocklin Mels.

Ordered cored beef hash and eggs. Mel’s version of corned beef hash is awful!! It was cut up slices of dry corned beef simply mixed with their home style potatoes. Definitely not a hash. Dry and un edible.

Horrible phone manners from a female manger…..

I called in a breakfast order today at 7:30 am to get French toast and a lady answered the phone. She first put me on hold a very long time. She came back to my call with a very bothered voice and being rude while she was taking my order. I was trying to explain to her that I wanted 2 extra pieces of French toast for my kids order and she got real sharp with me on the phone as I tried desperately tried to explain to her ; “ please just add two extra pieces of French toast…. She became mad and said; “ you know what!!!!! I don’t have to serve you!!! And hung up the phone in my face. I was like “wow!!!!! I called back asked for a manager and she said rudely! With a hostile tone! “ I AM THE MANAGER AND I BEEN Doing THIS MANY YEARS!!!!! This lady has a real temper and NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL!

I hope the owner gets a more polite professional person to answer the phone and use proper customer service with the public!

The manager name is Marissa that did all the uncalled for disrespect.

Came here recently, within the week, hash brown's tasted stale, I couldn't finish them. Ordered a desert to go. Got home and found animal hair on it, don't know how that happens in a restaurant setting. We don't have pets, but I know what pet hair looks like. I brought my container straight home without opening it once and put it straight into the fridge before trying to eat it. Quality and health is a concern, I think it's safe to suggest workers who are pet owners need to be in clean uniforms when on the floor and handling food. I myself am a server and my place of work provides lint rollers to prevent things like this. Thank you for your time.

50s style dinner. Love the decor. And pictures. They play 50s and 60s music. With almost a juke box on every table. Great friendly staff! Good food prices and specials.
