1:30pm on a Monday. It was busy but not crowded. We had a basic breakfast, eggs, sausage and potatoes with sourdough toast. Big portions and good tasting. Our meal came out very quickly. The servers are always nice and smile a lot.

Great food. Heard the servers yelling at the cooks about them building the burgers wrong. Then the servers all were gossiping near the booths by the register instead of paying attention to anyone. The food that cane out was cooked well, tasted great but had a very long wait. I believe there was 8 other tables full and one large party while we were there. Banana milkshake was delicious! I will be back... eventually.

Came in town for my girlfriends doc appointment, we were hungry and didn't have much time before her appointment. So we stopped in for a quick bit and let me tell u, it was amazing in all ways. Burger and frys were fresh and very tasty.. service was on point, soon as we got there, they got us seated and the order was taken fast, and wasn't long the food came and the lady that helped us checked on us to make sure everything was fine. If u come to this town, it's a much try, and Mel's has never been a letdown. The price was nice and so was service from start to finish. I give a 5 star all the way across. Thanks to all the ones who come to work every day and serve as many choices, not to any more.Parking: Parking at the door so u don't have to walk far.Kid-friendliness: Great place for kids to eat.

Was hopping to get a late night bite to eat with my lady. We settled on this place as it was the only diner in a 10 mile area open. It was really not busy, at least five servers for maybe 9 tables and a few togos. We waited almost 30 minutes for our app. The app was ok, fries obviously old but that’s whatever. My entree however, laughable. The mashed potato’s were THE SAME TEMP AS A WALK-IN. They literally got a scoop straight out of the fridge and called it a day. Coleslaw was room temp which is incredibly concerning as it’s mayonnaise based. To top it off, I never got to share these problems as our waiter NEVER checked back in our table. My girlfriend had her empty lemonade on the edge of the table our whole time eating. Host seemed like she couldn’t care less about being there. Ended up going up to the host stand to get our bill/boxes and to pay the tab. Left a $5 and really didn’t even want to do that, that’s coming from a server…
Had the fish basket. I had to actually place each piece between double layer of napkins and press them to absorb some of the oil.

Came to Mel's tonight in Roseville and they were very busy. We were greated with a smile and seated right away. Everyone here was super nice. The manager even came and talked with us! He truly believes in customer service and it even shows with how his staff interacts with him. There is a high level of respect here!
