He took the time to hear our side of the story and handled an issue that could have easily turned into a major dispute with fairness and professionalism. Matthew was honest, understanding, and made a fair deduction, which showed his ability to assess the situation objectively. His calm approach, strong communication, and sound judgment speak volumes about his management skills. This is exactly the type of leadership that creates a great customer experience. Topgolf Roseville is lucky to have him.

I’ve never been to a place that works this hard to nickel-and-dime people for water. Not alcohol. Not specialty drinks. Water.
Topgolf will happily let you walk all the way through the building before suddenly stopping you at the LAST possible moment to tell you that you can’t bring in outside drinks—not even a simple tumbler of water. No signs at the entrance. No warning ahead of time. Just a “gotcha” when you’re already committed.
Here’s the part that really takes the cake: You can buy their drinks and take them outside, but you cannot bring your own water in. Read that again. Purchased drinks can go out. Your personal water bottle cannot come in. Make it make sense.
Even better? Ask for a cup of water and you’re met with resistance or told you have to pay for it. Apparently hydration is an upsell now. I guess staying alive while hitting golf balls is considered a premium experience.
This isn’t about policy—it’s about greed disguised as “rules.” If you’re going to charge premium prices, at least offer basic human decency. Every other entertainment venue manages to provide water without acting like it’s a rare commodity.
Fun concept. Terrible execution. Come thirsty. Or better yet, don’t come at all.
