The food is always delicious and staff is so kind and pleasant. We sit outside and it is all so relaxing. I do wish they had something non sugar for dessert-something fruity...what I wish at every restaurant...
The restaurant Marché is one of my favorites in Marin County, a place where I had my 85th birthday party and where I can count on extraordinary food and service and ambience. The outdoor patio is delightful, and it's wonderful to be in a place where the noise level is low and manageable. We went on "hamburger night," and the hamburgers were cooked to perfection as requested, and the gnocchi ordered by another member of our party were as close to authentic as one can get (and I was raised in Italy). I would recommend Marché for those dinners that are special as well as more casual. It will never disappoint!
Marché is an absolute gem! We have so many great restaurants in the Bay Area but none are as special as Marché. It's our go-to for all special dinners and we're an hour away.
The menu was the best part. We enjoyed our apps and entrees. We sat on the patio, which even when pretty full was quiet enough to have a conversation at our table. The service started off well, but got strained (although the inside seating was entirely empty, just the patio seemed to push staff to capacity). We would go again if we're in the neighborhood.
The food was stellar. We had dined there before, but I think they may have changed hands, or cooks. Everything we ordered was very tasty, and the servings were large. From the beet hummus, to the avacado (bruschetta?), then paccheri pasta with pork, and a seared tuna nicoise, everything was very good.
We ordered meatballs which were hard as rocks. The orecchiette pasta with sausage and rabe was greasy and heavy. The BLT salad was not bad. The corn side was good and the chicken entree was just okay. All-in-all we left disappointed.
Given the location, reviews and recommendations from locals I expected a bit more from a restaurant that is considered upscale. Prices are reasonably high, but our chicken was prepared disappointingly dry. The recommended Chardonnay was less than memorable. Service overall was friendly, but our server seemed distracted and I had to remind him. We'll probably look to other restaurants in the area in the future.
As always excellent food and if you haven't try the grilled whole cauliflower you have to try it. It is the most surprising mix of flavors and all good games change to your palate. Try it! You will not be disappointed.
The garden outside seating area was a very enjoyable space to be in. It felt quaint and cozy, but it would be more comfortable if there were cushions on the seat of the heavy metal chairs. We found the wine selection quite nice and we had gone for the fried chicken special that we hadn't had previously. I was nicely cooked, and remained very moist, so we enjoyed it very much. The wait staff and employees were wonderful, which made our dining experience especially delightful.
We were late because of 101 traffic. We were 20 minutes late and our friend was 30 minutes late. Our waiter was wonderful and understanding and made sure our friend had a glass of wine when she arrived. Though it got busy, he was able to get us served in time to make our show without seeming rushed. We ordered for her and our food arrived together shortly after she arrived. The gnocchi with mushrooms and snow peas in a truffle cream sauce was excellent, as were the other entrees. No time for dessert, but we will be back again and on time.

I so wanted this to good since it is my home town. I feel it just needs some tweaking with the food. Ambience, Wait staff was great. Still would recommend to friends for the location.
I return to MarcheRoss over and over again. The food is ever so delicious and changes with the season. Further, it is the most welcoming place to return to. The patio is just lovely and the atrium is great in the winter months for those of us who still prefer to eat outside. i give it a five star review
Love the charming restaurant and patio. So pleasant to have a warm evening back to enjoy dining outside. Service is friendly and relaxed and perfect, we always enjoy. Last eve was so disappointing: both meals were way below what we've come to expect, just felt poor quality, not up to what we usually enjoy. Every resto has an off night so we'll just say that this was theirs because we will be back at some point.
We have enjoyed our prior visits to Marchë, so we were looking forward to dining there again. The patio is lovely and the staff was super attentive. The food, however, was not good. We had stuffed mushrooms that were nothing more than a big lump of sausage stuffed onto a mushroom cap and broiled. Weird texture and no subtlety of flavor. Both entrees (scallops and crab risotto) were bland and disappointing. The crab risotto seemed like canned crab (cold) sprinkled over Spaghettio-flavored rice. Given the considerable price tag, we are not likely to return any time soon.
Those ribs on Wednesday evening are outstanding. I brought some home and actually had them again for breakfast. Marche is a lovely restaurant with great staff and really excellent food...really love those ribs!!
