Best egg tarts in town. It’s carb worthy.

Kee Wah Bakery in Rowland Heights is a traditional Asian bakery located in a strip mall with plenty of parking, though the interior is quite small and can get crowded when busy. The shop is in a popular plaza with cars going in and out. Compared to the menu illustrations, actual items were a lot smaller; for example, the croissant was nearly half the size of ones at other bakeries for the same price. Reviewers recommend getting freshly baked items from the glass window, not the prepackaged ones. Specific meals mentioned include Egg tarts, Bolo Bun, Matcha Bun, Red Bean Bun, BBQ Pork Bun, Curry Pork Bun, rice cake, pineapple bun, tiger roll, Hong Kong pineapple bun with butter, croissant, chicken pies, and crispy egg tarts. Everything was good with good size and high quality; the Bolo had a perfect crisp, buns were super soft and moist with lots of filling. The tiger roll was refreshing with sea salt in the cream. Items are at least 50% less sweet than American bakeries. Staff were fine but customers must go to them to ask questions. A group of older Asian ladies working behind the counter were sweet and warm. One reviewer had a hiccup with a Mother's Day cake pre-order, but the ladies were very kind, upgrading to similar cakes and giving each a complimentary crispy egg tart. The bakery is a bit pricey but worth it.
