One of the best sushi restaurants I've tried hands down. First the ambience gives you calm and chill Tokyo vibes. Soft lighting and ample room. I went here on a first date after a long wait at Chubby Cattle KBBQ. After signing in at about 8:30pm on a Friday night we were seated no less than 20 minutes later. We were at the bar (which I prefer to watch the sushi chef at work) and he was very entertaining and had an amazing conversation as well. Now to the food, the appetizers were 7/10 as we ordered the mixed tempura, which was good but not anything to brag about, the crab cakes were lackluster and the baked green mussels were the standout but maybe because of the sauce. Now the rolls were a 9/10, my favorites being the truffle hunter which is topped with razor thin sliced raw onion giving it a cut between the earthiness of the truffle oil and also the red dragon roll which was amazing with tuna and garnished with fire and raw garlic. The Cajun roll was surprisingly good. It has the after taste of Tams fries seasoning. The Jessica albacore was fresh, spicy and well balanced it was a specialty roll. Also if you buy 4 rolls of the regular sushi menu(specialty rolls not included) you get 50% off the sushi rolls. We also ordered the Baked Scallop roll, which wasn't bad at all. It was just a generic version of the roll. Thats the only reason they got a 9/10 on the sushi. The pricing was not bad at all. Very worth the price. The customer service. Was stellar. I just noticed I forgot they had ramen. I'll be updating once I've had it.

We arrived around 4:45 to no wait and was seated quickly. Waiter service was very good and attentive. The yellowtail jalapeño sashimi was absolutely delicious. That itself was a five star rating. The ambience is wonderful. It's a perfect place for a date night dinner.

food is great to me, i usually come here for sushi as its pretty close to where i live. came here with my boyfriend and service was fine until after we ordered. not once did we get checked up on and we had to ask or flag down a server for things. two gentleman who happened to be caucasian that had gotten sat after us were attended to very well and it felt a bit like discrimination? my boyfriend and i are clearly both hispanic. two servers checked up on them around 3 times in 15-20 minutes while we were next to them and we got nothing. i would understand if it was busy but there were about 5 tables, maybe less total.every time i come here the service is mediocre, i just like the food lol. it was a lady with pink hair, and a guy had served us by the name oscar or something, but i lost my receipt. the only time he was welcoming was when it was time to pay and it felt icky. idk if anyone else has had this experience but i hope it was just a one time thing.

I was a big fan of the original Kopan ramen that used to be in this location until they closed a few years ago. This restaurant is not the same in any way except for the name. I came in with high expectations and left with disappointment and a desire not to come back. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, expecting it to be served in the authentic Hakata style. I should have caught on that something was amiss when the default toppings had corn, but no wood ear fungus. What came out was a bowl of bland and watery broth with thin, dry chashu. Far from what I remember at the old place. The only saving grace was that the texture of the egg was decent. The other dish we ordered was a "mini unagi donburi". The eel was well cooked, but the rice was cold. It was served in a small Korean-style stone bowl, which should have been another tip off that something was off. It was served topped with avocado slices, ikura, and two sheets of green foul-tasting stuff that was not aonori seaweed. The tea we ordered was lukewarm. When we asked for it to be replaced, instead of pouring more tea at the table, it was taken by a server and came back with some plain hot water added. There do not appear to be any teapots in this restaurant, which I have never heard of in a sushi restaurant. Ambiance-wise, it's alright. As other reviewers have mentioned, the lighting is really dim, and has many small private booths. The decorations around the restaurant and sushi bar are trying to make it look more authentic than it actually is. Despite having a sushi bar with chairs, they will not seat anyone there, even if there is a line out the door. This location, despite using the name of the previous restaurant, provided none of it's food quality. I feel disappointed, deceived, and upset by having my expectations utterly betrayed. If you have any good memories of the old Kopan Ramen, just stay away from this place.

My kids and I come here very often. We love the foods here. Just a small compliment, we prefer not a chip/broken side dishes to be served- especially asian. Just my Culture way, not try to defending or anything. We still come here

Came here for the first time to try their ramen. I got the Kara Miso Ramen and it was pretty good! It was very creamy and rich, the noodles were thin and chewy (yum), and had some seared pork with veggies. Service was good. The ambiance is nice. It's dimly lit, but there is great lighting over the food! Overall a solid spot for some ramen! Will have to come back to try the sushi.

Great ambiance! Very nice quick service being seated by hostess. Nice selection on the menu. Good portions. Oh my goodness okyo salmon roll with asparagus in it. Oh lordy lordy it's my favorite. I got to come back and try something else on the menu everything looks really wonderful and served with a smile. Yellowtail was excellent. Give yourself a nice treat it's romantic it's quiet. I wouldn't call it pricey but it has some nice stuff on the menu.

The food was generally good and tasted pretty good, but the waiter's attitude was average and he felt half-dead. He didn't provide paper towels when eating.

I loved the Japanese decor as it felt very authentic. Food was good. We had calamari for appetizer, ramen & some sushi dishes. Service can be improved. Our server was the older later whom was obnoxious. They do not have napkins as part of your table placements which is odd.

Kopan Ramen wins the most improved award! I tried Kopan Roman when they first opened up back in 2019 and I wasn't that impressed. The restaurant was bland and I found the ramen to be overpriced and mediocre. I decided to give them another shot today and they surprised me! This was a totally different restaurant. I appreciated the completely remodeled, cozy izakaya interior, and the food had clearly taken a big step up without changing the price much:-Kuro Mayu Ramen: rich without being too oily-Salmon Roll: a simple roll that was elevated with good presentation and creative garnishes-Takoyaki: Served piping hot with a good crispy outer layer-Pork Cutlet: Crunchy and moist with a sauce that wasn't too saltyWell, Kopan Ramen is an excellent place for their price point and they far exceeded my expectations. I was disappointed with myself for writing them off 5 years ago ?. You should definitely visit Kopan Ramen if you want good Japanese food and a nice atmosphere at a reasonable price point!

Pulled into Kopan to get a ramen fix. I had the pork based brother ramen, endamane peas and mixed tempura Everything was delicious. The ramen noodles were chewy, the broth very flavorful and the tempura crunchy. Great dinner.
