A waitress had very bad service and rude attitude for customers. You even have asking service for your drink and dash…… don’t asking more if you want have good food on dinner time.

I have never seen such a SUPER BAD and SUPER RUDE service in restaurant industry. Even , you will afraid to ask for service . Don’t kill your beautiful day/night/weekend or your happy mood . That is all about services . Environmental , they didn’t turn on AC , they opened 2 glass doors to get fresh air in and that bring some cigarettes’ smokers air into restaurant from out side . Not kids friendly at all .

Been coming here for awhile now. Skip the bougie GUI BBQ upstairs and the Mountain House next door if you want to eat some authentic Chinese Sichuan styled cooking that's not flamed by bullshit Xiao hong shu or tiktok.

Best of all skip the damn lines.

Here's the interesting part:
I have ordered the exact, and I mean exact dish combos for the past 10+ times I've been here. The flavor profile and consistency are the same across the board. I have not been disappointed once!

No need to mention just how difficult that is to achieve across the board within the restaurant industry. That's a feat in itself!

The lamb skewers are grilled over charcoal in the back kitchen just like at GUI upstairs. You just don't see it but you can def taste it. This is still better than the GUI Irvine location which doesn't have any charcoals taste.

Order exactly these:
Go for the basil clams, spicy black bean paste intestines, and the spicy crawfish. Add any veggie dish and you're set.

The dishes at this restaurant are absolutely delightful! The bullfrog is tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, offering a melt-in-your-mouth experience. The food was not worth the price and didn’t meet my expectations in terms of flavor. The service was ok but a bit slow. What made the experience more uncomfortable was when I was selecting the tip. The owner stood by our table and rushed me, which I’ve never experienced in other restaurants before. Typically, the owner or staff don’t collect the final receipt until the customers have left.

The owner was very nice and advised us that we might’ve ordered too much for 2 people. The frog and pork brain were very good. And definitely the best 锅包肉I’ve had so far compared to many restaurants, very saucy. The squid skewer also very good, sweet and cumin taste. The store has great decor and karaoke and TV for entertainment. Overall good experience!
