Reserve a La Tour Tasting and take your time tasting the many fine wines offered. Listen to the story on each offering but don’t detach from listening with intention to your own palate noting which is most agreeable. Because it’s very subjective. I’ve a few favorites like the cab franc for everyday wine and casual gatherings. Then I have the George De La Tour for very special occasions. And last but not least, the Maestro cabs for those in between special moments that’s deserving of a tighter and lengthier backbone. There are others that I like from the reserve collection but these have been my go to.

Had a wonderful experience at this vineyard. We were warmly greeted and our host taught us so much about proper ways to taste wine and the history of various wines that BV makes.

Dan was incredibly thorough and detailed in his explanation of the winery and what it has to offer! Much more intimate experience than other wineries. Highly
Recommend!

We stopped by as walk-ins. Deanna greeted us and took care of us for the tasting. By that time we’d gone to a couple of highly rated (4.8 and 4.9 on Google) wineries. This was by far the best experience. Deanna was very knowledgeable and engaging. She shared a wealth of information about the wines and made the experience very enjoyable. The cost of the tasting was also more reasonable compared to the other two where we felt the service was friendly but sparse. The BV wines were also very good.

5 points for Maestro Chelishchev in the yard!

I was unbelievably disappointed. The staff here is awesome. They were knowledgeable and professional. They know their product and history. If the wines were as good as their staff, I would have bought a case of it!

But...... I found the wines disappointing, especially given their high price tags! Do yourself a favor and pass this one by!

Good. We first came to BV in 1983 and had a great experience. Things have changed but still great wines. Experience was tainted by a couple who were on speaker phone talking to their housekeeper talking about the dishwasher and their dog??? Really. Need to stop the rudeness of others by not allowing this rude behavior.

We did the Discover Rutherford Dust tasting on Easter Sunday. Had a reservation. Grayson greeted us warmly and seated us in a private room. We enjoyed the wines poured very much, specially the Ranch 2 and Clone 6. Great host and amazing wines! Took a couple of bottles home.

Overall an average wine tasting experience. Could improve the service with better hospitality.

We had such a great tasting even though this was our 3rd for the day...which is max for Napa. Every wine was enjoyable, our wine host was so fun and answered every crazy question we asked. Then he picked a final tasting based on what we liked which ended up being our favorite!

We went to BV as the last tasting of a 4 day trip to Napa and the last of the 12 wineries we visited. Unfortunately it ended up being the least inspired of our experiences. We had requested the patio outside tasting, not realizing it just was small and mostly a parking lot view. But when we got there we were summarily told we were moved inside “in case it rained”. It didn’t rain the whole time we were there. However, our tasting took place at the bar with another group of people across the bar as part of their own tasting. We found that we had to compete for attention and felt we were only moved inside so that they could do both tastings at the same time without having to go outside for us. And the area is basically in the gift shop so feels very commercial. We asked at the end of the tasting when we had 15 minutes left (and wanted to sit and savor a good wine)about purchasing a glass of wine and were told it was not allowed, which would not have bothered me except the other group asked about additional wines and were brought additional samples. Why not offer us another sample of something if we couldn’t have a full glass? And when my daughter was given one wine because she preferred a certain flavor profile, my other daughter asked to try it too and was told “take a sip of your sister’s” which was rather rude considering we were paying $55 a tasting and ended up with barely a full total glass of wine with the 4 wines. And when my daughter said she preferred whites, she was told “well you sure chugged the red down” which made her feel very judged. It was just uncomfortable and felt more like a money grab to get us to be members than a relaxed tasting to enjoy some delicious wines. We had so many other wonderful, warm tastings during our visit to Napa that this was a disappointment as a tasting experience.

WONDERFUL wines! Dan did a very informative tasting with interesting stories and details of each wine. Kerry is always fun (and funny) to chat with. Makes you feel so welcomed. She's a great hugger! Tasting was one of the best with a lot of laughter!

Some nice reds here. Booked a tasting online and because we were staying next door we got a special discount. We only saw the tasting room which is essentially a big bar surrounded by merchandise for sale. We never really felt engaged however. I was going to join the club and grab a couple of nice cabs, but changed my mind when I was told the tasting fee for today would not be waived if I joined the club. Hmmm…

Ordered a case of wine thru their online system. Tracking system said shipment to be delivered on 12/06. It is two already 2 days late, and status shows still at sort facility. crazy. Don't order online for delivery. Or, add a few days - because it will take longer.
