My fiancé and I just got engaged at Inglenook. The wine was incredible! Thank you for making it an unforgettable weekend, Kim. Kim did our wine tasting for us and gave us a tour of the beautiful property. This chateau is definitely one you want to visit. Request Kim. She’s great, enthusiastic and all around a great tour guide. Thank you Inglenook, you will forever be a part of our lives!

A Napa Valley Landmark with Enduring Legacy

Inglenook is not just a winery—it’s a cornerstone of Napa Valley’s operating history and a masterclass in long-term vision. Walking the property, you immediately sense the strategic importance this estate has played in shaping the valley’s global reputation.

The historical throughline is anchored by John Daniel Jr., one of the valley’s original winemakers and a true pioneer whose disciplined, terroir-driven approach set an early quality benchmark for Napa. His influence is still embedded in the DNA of the estate, from vineyard philosophy to cellar mindset.

Today, under the stewardship of Francis Ford Coppola, Inglenook has executed a rare feat: restoring legacy without commoditizing it. The Coppola vision respects provenance, protects architectural and agricultural integrity, and reinvests in the long game—positioning Inglenook as both a living museum and a fully relevant modern producer.

From its historic Rutherford benchland setting to its uncompromising commitment to authenticity, Inglenook stands as a case study in brand equity done right. This is Napa Valley history, thoughtfully preserved and strategically future-proofed.

Absolutely beautiful and historic winery! Inglenook is well known for its reds, and they absolutely lived up to the reputation, but we were also pleasantly surprised by how excellent the whites were. We did the Heritage Tasting today and loved it so much that we ended up taking home a few bottles.
Our sommelier, Tina, really made the experience special. She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared the history and winemaking details in a way that felt engaging and approachable. She was also so kind and attentive, and our conversation with her added a personal and memorable touch to the tasting.
Such a wonderful experience overall, and we will definitely be back to try more tastings in the future.

Very beautiful winery and free museum to explore. Nice little cafe with few eggless options.
It becomes really beautiful in fall.

If you’re only going to visit ONE winery / vineyard in Napa, THIS is the one you must must must visit.

My friend and I walked in to visit and let me tell you, even from the drive up the long driveway lined on each side by trees, it is the most scenic, picturesque estate. Simply stunning. We had no reservation but they were able to accommodate us immediately (likely helped that it was a weekday) Laura guided us through the tasting and went truly above and beyond with us. She gauged that we were very interested in the history of the property so gave us a tour, showed us other tasting rooms, and indulged our many questions over the course of — what turned into several hours we spent at Inglenook! I will be stopping here every time I visit Napa and recommending it to all. Not only is the estate beautiful, but when you have staff like Laura — so knowledgeable, passionate about what they do, and easy to talk to, engaging, and warmly hospitable (remember we had no reservation and she stayed with us for hours!) you have a WINNING destination. Can’t wait to go back.

I had a special reservation made for my mother's retirement on our Christmas vacation to Napa for their upgraded Library Legacy Tasting. I also chose Coppola wineries as my mother's father was 1 of the personal doctors for Howard Hughes and my grandparents knew Mr Coppola personally as he and Howard we deeply involved in the film industry together.
We were very excited for the experience with the wines and the property. When we arrived they informed us they could not find the reservation or the charge for the reservation and would not be able to accommodate us. I was confused and thought maybe there was a error in whoever I spoke with and placed the reservation. We opted to stay because we had driven all that way. As we sat at the bristo and got wine with a charcuterie board and other small snacks. I looked at my bank account and there was a charge for the 269.00 from Inglenook. I went to the front desk and said I did have a charge and they confirmed the charge amount looked to be the right amount for a library tasting. The woman gave me the card of the manager and said to call him on Monday and he could refund us the charge as there was confusion about the reservation. I have been playing phone tag with him for almost a year because he is constantly out of the office. I called again last Friday and he would not be in till Tuesday. Tuesday rolled around and by 11am I still had not received a call. When I called and inquired about the confusion, charge and refund he said that I had made a reservation for Nov not Dec. I told him that was a error made by his staff at booking and I was also informed by his staff I would be able to get a refund for the tasting. He refused to give me a refund, apologies or take any responsibility for the actions of his, his establishment or staff with the mistake. Saying I had received a email with the incorrect date and I did not rectify it and I was 100% responsible for missing my appointment. I told him I understood and accepted my half of the responsibility in I did not in detail look over the email sent to me, but where was his responsabily in the mishandling of the reservation and verbal agreement I could get a refund for the tasting.
I am mortified and disappointed at Inglenook in allowing their manager to operate as he is, his handling and demeanor towards me. He was so rude and unapologetic for any part he or his staff played in this whole experience up untill the very moment he cursed under his breath and hung up on me.

Please take your money else where if you value a quality experience such as Chateau Montelena and Castillo de Amorosa among others top wineries.

Beautiful chateau and grounds. History museum inside. Beautifully curated gift shop and friendly staff. I’m glad we did not miss this stop!

5 stara for ambience, service, and the fact that kids are allowed, 3.5 stars for the wine itself. We had a 6 year old with us and very few places in Napa allow kids these days, but this one was on several lists. The setting is gorgeous and we had great service in the bistro. Our party of 6 adults and 2 kids ordered a bunch of food like muffaletta sandwiches and a variety of cheeses, and order all 5 glasses of wine and turned it into a tasting. We had a nice big area to ourselves and we were encouraged to wander the property with our wine if we wanted. The property is huge and feels like an old Europe chateau. The wines were decent but not amazing, especially for the price. But I liked the wines here better than Hoopes, another kid-friendly winery, and I'd definitely come back if I was in the area with my kid again.

Our tasting with David was very pleasant. Inglenook is already picturesque, much like Coppola’s filmography, but David’s knowledge of the estate and the wine industry took our tasting to the next level. Definitely make time for Inglenook and see if David is pouring that day.

So laid-back, a lot of history. Walking welcome. Not pricey at all. I love it.

The best one in Napa, not pretentious, great service, you can take a wine by the glass and walk around the grounds no problem. We loved it

Our first stop during our trip to Napa and we were starstruck!! The building and grounds are absolutely gorgeous. Two people who work there took time to stop and chat with us and tell us about the history of Inglenook and their wine options. We made a bistro reservation and had fun walking around the 2nd floor museum with a glass of wine in hand. Highly recommend working in a stop at Inglenook!

This is the only winery tour i've been on, and i've been on many, where they don't give you wine to sip on the tour. The whole experience was odd from the beginning. Our guide was a bit abrasive and not super welcoming. The whole thing felt very scripted and impersonal. When we finally got to tasting the reds were just ok, yet VERY expensive. Also, its 110 per person for the lame tour and tasting 4 wines. When we didn't buy anything we got the clear message it was time to leave. If they offered some sort of discount on the very expensive tasting fee, if you buy wine, i would have, but they didn't, so i didn't. This is the sort of place they feel you are privileged to be at, thus the attitude and pricing. So many better, smaller and more appreciative wineries in the area, so we won't be back. The only reason i gave it 2 stars is the grounds are pretty, but that's about it.
