Really nice wines, attentive and genuine staff. A great, family owned winery with an interesting story that provides grapes to many other wineries. Artisan tasting was a really lovely mix of 3 cheeses, a cured prime rib, apricots and almonds. Ricardo did awesome, and appreciated Sam's coordination. We'll be back.
Wonderful experience with great food, wonderful wines and fantastic service. Cruz was great and Guy is always a delight. We love Round Pond and can’t wait for our next visit!!
EDIT:
The response from the owner misses the point. 'Cool enough' is an understatement when a guest suffers heat exhaustion and vomiting. Misters don't fix direct sun exposure in 100-degree heat. At a $300 price point, the 'control' management has is the choice to move guests indoors or reschedule, rather than prioritizing a booking fee over guest safety.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I attended a birthday lunch here in October 2024 with ~20 guests. I’m only getting around to posting this now, having just realized I drafted it after the visit. My friend paid about $300 per person (including tax and tip) for the outdoor experience. Unfortunately, the day was nearly 100°F, and the lack of adequate weather planning ruined what should have been a special occasion.
Although seating was described as shaded, coverage shifted and several of us were stuck in direct sun for close to an hour. The misting devices helped only slightly. By the end, I actually threw up from heat exhaustion, and at least one other guest became seriously unwell as well. Staff were attentive and tried to help (bringing extra water, food, etc.), but this was not their fault—the real issue lies with management. At this price point, the venue should absolutely have stronger contingency measures in place to ensure guest safety and comfort. Expecting guests to sit outdoors for 2+ hours in this weather is simply unacceptable.
Would not recommend the olive oil tasting. Our waiter was nice but the tasting was shocking. It was not an experience and lacked any substance. One small bowl of bread to three people so split was bizarre. They were really penny pinching with this one.
We had a delicious time at Round Pond’s “Meet the Maker” event. The makers were very approachable and informative and the wines and food were excellent!
Very personable, excellent wine and food
This was by far one of our favorite winery experiences while in the area. The service was excellent, and our guide was both knowledgeable and friendly (wish we remembered his name!), which made the visit even more enjoyable. The wines were delicious, and the process of purchasing and shipping bottles home was seamless. The grounds are stunning; we have amazing pictures from here. This is a winery we’ll happily recommend to friends and family, and one we’ll be adding back to our list for when we return.
The best experience we have ever had! Cruz was an amazing host, the chef Fernando put together an amazing lunch and the hospitality was incredible. The property itself is gorgeous and walking through the garden before the Il Pranzo makes it that much better. Highly recommend visiting Round Pond!!
Wonderful experience! Ricardo was very knowledgeable and added insight into the vineyard. So far one of our favorites.
Scott was excellent. Informative, engaging and humorous. The vineyard property is magnificent.

Wine was incredible. Juan killed it! This is the type of hospitality I expect from the level of dollars you are at!
Did an olive oil tasting at Round Pond. Highly recommended!
Round Pond was our first stop on our very first Napa Valley trip, boy did we set the bar high. What an amazing wine and oil experience. Both the wine and oil were delicious, the winery is absolutely gorgeous, and the staff was excellent. Cruz was on his game and created a really memorable experience. We will definitely be back on future Napa trips. 5 stars all around.
Our special tasting for our party of 13 was outstanding. Our host was very attentive and of course knowledgeable of the tastings. As a member I have always been treated with the upmost respect and never disappointed in the offering and the quarterly releases.
Recommended by a friend in the wine industry, being Bay Area locals, this was our favorite tasting we’ve had. Every glass was a hit. And you could tell the charcuterie plate was made with intention. Some places just just throw meat and cheese at you while here every item on the plate had its place and complimented all the wine. Andreas was amazing; friendly, down to earth, didn’t make us feel rushed. Forget Olive Garden, this place makes you feel like family ;)
