We love this restaurant! The owners are extremely kind and we want to support locally owned businesses. Go check them out!
We had cocktails, house-made chips and dip, Birrata and Pluot salad with Chicken, Fish and Chips, an IPA (best IPA in the world! :-) ) and a soft-serve flight. Cocktails were amazing! We had a Sage the Date and a Perfect Manhattan. Tasty! The better half really enjoyed the salad and the Fish and Chips were perfectly cooked with a crispy batter. The Fish and Chips were served with both a house-made Caper Aioli, sort of a house-made tartar sauce that didn't disappoint, as well as malt-vinegar. Bravo on the malt-vinegar! Some restaurants overlook the importance of having malt vinegar with fish and chips, so I took the opportunity to eat one piece with the Aioli and one with malt vinegar. Yummers. For dessert, the soft-serve flight was simply scrumptious! Highly recommend as good soft-serve seems to be somewhat of a struggle (not impossible for sure) to find in the Sacramento area. The service was outstanding from the moment we walked in to the time that we left. Everyone was friendly, attentive and fun. A+++ Overall a wonderful experience.
The owner is emotionally abusive. Good food + bad ownership!
We dined outside and although it was a warm late afternoon the misters kept it very comfortable. I had the cod tacos and my wife ordered the burger. We were both very happy with our meals. The soft serve dessert was delicious! Service was fast and friendly also. We always enjoy our experiences at Alaro.
Tired of finding nothing but IPA’s and hazy IPA’s? Alaro has a variety of other beers they brew. I was especially fond of the Rhapsody (Helles bock) and robust porter, but everything we tried was great.
And the burrata salad with plums and spiced almonds was amazing! We shared three small plates and finished everything off with some amazing cocktails for dessert (try the smoke follows beauty, yum!).
Fully satisfied with our visit and will certainly return.

First time at Alaro on a busy Friday night. Our table was ready when we arrived. Food and service were great. Will be back!
Upon sitting down, we told our server that we needed to leave in an hour and 15 minutes for a play. We ordered after 7 minutes. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks. Our first appetizer came at 40 minutes, and we ordered a second drink. When it was 20 minutes before we needed to leave, I hadn't received my salad and my family's main courses. I told the server to cancel my main course since I knew I wouldn't have time to eat that and the salad. Instead, she cancelled all of the main courses. I don't understand if she wasn't listening to what I said, or ??? What overall, kitchen was beyond slow, and the server was not honest and a bad listener. The food we did get was so good. I will go back because I had such a good experience the other two times I have been there. The most frustrating part was that our server was not honest with us from the get-go that it was not going to be possible to get out of there in an hour and 15 minutes. Instead, she kept saying that the food was on the way, and that things would be “right out,” when really, our order had not even been started at the one hour mark. Hopefully, next time is better. If not, I can't go back there in good conscience.
The food was absolutely disgusting and the waiter was a complete jerk. Would not recommend wasting your time or money.

Wow, we had the best experience here. The food was phenomenal. We ordered fried pickles (light, crispy coating), shrimp ceviche (perfection, with enough hearty chips on the side to scoop it all up), and an amazing nectarine and tomato salad with whipped feta (my favorite!). They had yummy kid meals. We had excellent service from Ashley B. We will definitely be back.

The service could not have been better. All of them had a very friendly smile. The food came on time, in faster than I would have not (not that it was too early).
Overall, our experience was great. The food was great, ambiance was great. The service was great except for a forgotten drink. I would go again.
Bland bland bland. Stopped by for some fries and some beer. $9 for some fries that are all broken up and a garlic aioli that tastes like garlic coughed on some mayo. plus the sauce came in tiny little portions so i had to ration the only (light) source of flavor that i paid $9 for lol. fries didn’t have much seasoning, either. the “award winning saison” was also bland. i know saisons are light and refreshing beers but i expected a bit more than a hint of malt and water. my partner got a flight and all the other beers were bland as well. service was nice! loved our server with the pink hair. just wish the food had seasoning.

The fish and chips and fish tacos were really good, except for the overly salty fries. The Lager paired really well with the fish and chips and the Albariño paired well with the fish tacos.
