A stellar dining experience. The food was excellent, and our server was really attentive and helpful. I would 100% recommend.
I did the 5-course tasting menu at Allora, and overall it was a refined, memorable dining experience that absolutely lives up to its reputation as one of Sacramento's top special-occasion restaurants. Each course was thoughtfully paced and beautifully presented, with a clear emphasis on seasonal ingredients and house-made pastas. The pasta courses were the standout for me—perfectly cooked, balanced, and rich without feeling heavy. You can tell a lot of care goes into the technique and sourcing. The seafood courses were equally impressive, fresh and delicately prepared, letting the ingredients shine rather than overpowering them. Service was polished and attentive throughout the evening. The staff explained each course well and kept things moving at a comfortable pace, which made the multi-course experience feel indulgent rather than overwhelming. The dining room itself strikes a great balance between upscale and intimate—elegant without being stuffy—making it ideal for a date night or celebration. Bottom line: Allora's 5-course tasting menu delivers a polished, modern Italian fine-dining experience with standout pasta, excellent service, and a romantic atmosphere.
The service was outstanding and the restaurant was beautiful. We really did not care for 3 out of 5 of the courses. It was disappointing, especially because of the price point.
Absolutely delicious. The wines offered for pairing were out of this world! Extraordinary and deserve high praise.
It was a great dinner night. We had the 3-course and every bite of each entree we picked were excellent! We had the Polpo and Conserva from the Antipasti and Scallop as main course and were perfectly made to the palate! We got a complementary bubble at the start and a free taste of their pastry to sum up the date night. 5 stars!
Went here for the first time today for sons 21st bday. Reservation for 5pm. Waitress only explained the cocktail menu since we said we may get cocktails. Didn't even mention martinis or anything else. Food came pretty quick things tasted fine. Chicken Marsala was alright.. didn't care for it much. The scallops came with pork belly even though we made sure they understood that we don't eat beef n pork. I stated no beef n pork on my booking, reminded waitress several times in restaurant. We took a couple bites n then asked the waitress. She apologized n brought another dish pretty quick. However due to religious reasons we do not eat beef or pork and this was a huge mistake. The folks who brought the food out never mentioned that there was pork belly or else we would have caught it . Especially considering the number of times we reminded them that we don't eat beef or pork. So pretty disappointed there!!! Also a slight mess up on dessert. They brought our wrong order. Corrected quickly but for a Michelin star restaurants these mistakes can hinder their reputation. Pros: good food. Quick service . Cons: def a bit pricy, the 20% service fee is insane, lack of attention to dietary/ religious restrictions for food, lack of attention when delivering order. Recommended : slow down a bit on delivering orders. With 5-9 course meals ppl need time to slow the pace .. obviously, attention to detail on dietary restrictions. Extremely important as some are due to religious purposes.
It was a delicious dinner and the waitstaff, including our main server Danielle, were all wonderful and very attentive. We came to celebrate a birthday, and it was a very enjoyable night! The fettuccine with brioche and the conserva were our favorites!
For a $600 dollar meal for 2 - several steps of service were missed. Tepid food, long periods without a course, and the wrong course being brought out which showed an error in the steps of service. Despite notating on the reservation , and telling our server 3 times we needed to leave before 8, we had to rush through the last 3 courses and ask our server to bring the desserts once he dropped entrees in order to leave on time. This made the experience disappointing and unenjoyable. We were there for 2.5 hours - arrived at 5:30 and didn’t leave till 8 after rushing. Food was absolutely delicious but for $600 for two - service and food deliverance is expected to be flawless. If someone needs to be out within a 2 hour time frame, it is expected that the server can delegate this efficiently or at least be transparent and cognizant about timing - which wasn’t done at all.

All the food was fantastic. Portions may look small to some of us, but it's just right to make it through the meal without being stuffed. All of the staff were awesome, very friendly and very knowledgeable. Perfect for a special occasion.
This was our fourth visit to Allora, where we have consistently enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance that one would expect from a high-end restaurant. However, this time our experience was subpar due to a noisy family with small children. We requested to be seated in a different section of the restaurant, away from the noise. Allora has a policy published on its website stating that children under 8 are not recommended. It's unclear why they do not enforce this policy, as it is essential for maintaining a high-end dining experience. Not sure we'll be returning for a fifth visit.

Celebrated our anniversary and had surprise custom menus and complimentary Prosecco provided. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful and never intrusive. We appreciated not having loud music and tables crowded together so we could enjoy a conversation over the best dinner we have had in Sacramento in many years. Temperature in the open room was a bit on the cool side even with Prosecco to warm up with, so we kept our jackets on. A bit pricey but impeccable wait staff and complex surprising layers of flavors to each course we selected. We recommend Allora to anyone who is interested in experiencing one of Sacramento's BEST places to eat a special dinner at. (They accommodate dietary restrictions and offer vegan and veg menu)—We didn't ask if they would do gluten free but their chefs are so accomplished I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Overall we were delighted with our experience there!
We were dining for my birthday and the team made it a special event. From having my name and a birthday wish on the menu to the attention to detail on each dish through its display and flavor to the fantastic wine pairings, it was an evening to remember. Thank you!
My husband and I both got the 5 course dinner. Their Old fashioned cocktails set the tone with their house made butter pecan sugar. All courses came out with perfect presentation and excellent flavor. We sat at the counter and both bartenders were excellent company.
If you are like me, then it’s easy to assume how one would think that the food posted in other users reviews would be delicious but for me that was not at all the case. I will give credit to the weight staff and management for taking notice that I was not happily eating my dishes along with the rest of our party. They were very quick to take notice and offered substitutions which I greatly appreciated.
