Disappointed at the food. Paloma drink was good. I had the tacos al Pastor but the taste wasn’t there:(
This is a absolutely fantastic place with great food great atmosphere and a very desirable location.I enjoyed the pescado tacos. These are grilled fish instead of a deep fried. They were absolutely delicious and, I would definitely get them again.I was there with a party of 25 and everyone enjoyed their food. We had a lot of different dishes including but not limited to carne asada and some Pollo dishes. The chips were good the drinks were good as well.Everything was just fantastic.
I think you might reconsider the hours of your business being open and maybe try staying open later on Friday and Saturday night. Burgers and Brews stays open till 4am because they get a lot of customers after 12am. Especially workers getting off at midnight and want to go eat with coworkers after a long shift. There no competitive options and I bet you would get a great outcome if you tested it out. Idk Just something to consider. I hate to see a great restaurant struggle. Timing could be the key. Good luck!
Best authentic Mexican I've ever had. Nice people. Good fast service. Love the atmosphere . My new place.
There was only a couple people working when The People's Convoy rolled into Antojo's for some lunch so some of the convoy members stepped in to help out.The food was amazing, great job and hats off to the chef for killing it! Hats off to the Owner who not only accompanied but allowed and was gracious to let some of the convoy members from The People's Convoy to help out with serving drinks, taking orders and helping with serving food. This is what it's all about, have the Freedom to help out, the Freedom to allow those you not know to help out, having the Freedom to run your business the way you want and how you want. What am incredible experience and I am sure we will be back to Antojo's very soon, thank you very much for having The People's Convoy.
Was excited to try the restaurant. Had been recommended by a friend.I was sorely disappointed.Much to my horror the beans were canned. They tasted liked Rosarita canned refried beans. They were covered with cotija . I guess to try and disguise them. The Habanero salsa was more like a thin smoothie/ juice with no flavor, as was the mild salsa. The sope was a hybrid flour & cornmeal mixture, more flour than cornmeal. Could not taste the cornmeal.I wanted to like this place. But sadly I did not.
We were excited to try out this place yesterday but were disappointed. The place was completely empty at lunchtime on Sunday afternoon, but it still took them 30 minutes to prepare our simple to-go order. One of our tacos was missing several ingredients, and the salsa tasted like tomato sauce - not fresh at all. There are too many other Mexican places with a much better quality in Sac.
I've wanted to try this place for a while, decided to make the trip yesterday. We got there and sat down at 2:40pm the place was completely empty only two other tables and they already had they're food. At 4:15 they brought out just one of the dishes that we ordered (3 fish tacos) and then a other 15 minutes went by and they brought out half of my order just two of the tacos and the 3rd person in our group hadn't even gotten they're food yet. We decided to just get up and leave we waited over 1.5 hours for 5 tacos that's just ridiculous. Never going again. Wasted my time.
We went for a late lunch mid week and had an easy time getting a table. We tried the shrimp and fish tacos. My wife got the shrimp and said it was fantastic and I enjoyed my fish tacos but I'd definitely try a different taco set next time due to so many options.
