Nothing fancy. But it's reasonably priced and the food is good! We've seen a difference in quality of service based on where we sit, but this is a place we consider to be a long respectable staple in our community and we are happy to frequent it.Kid-friendliness: The ceiling is decorated with large model airplanes throughout and there are often many (real) planes parked just outside the restaurant in view for dining customers. Kids & adults alike love it.

First time being there, and my co-worker was so excited to show me her favorite restaurant. There were 3 waitresses, They were the rudest! My co-worker wanted to make sure I had a great view for my first time she asked politely if we could have a view and And immediately she got an attitude walked off and said I'll be right back. It's gonna be a moment period we were fine with waiting. I was just so in awe of the ambiance of the restaurant. I didn't care. I was willing to wait. A second waitress came by and she asked,"Am I taking them, or are you taking them?" And it just was awkward. Finally, we were seated, but we could tell that we irritated the staff by making that small request.I observed the vibes and the attitudes. You could totally tell they treat their regulars differently from newbies! The atmosphere was great, the food was great.

Fun experience, just wish there was a sign or someone to greet you before joining the line to be seated.

Delicious food, reasonable prices, a 70s 80s atmosphere, but I loved the food!

This is so far the worst brunch restaurant I been in Sacramento. The server was extremely rude, when we were ordering, she had no patience, when we first started eating, she already hand me the bill and rush me to pay; I went up to pay and someone else was there to take payment, she pushed the other co worker and want to take the payment, I guess she really wanted the $14 tips. We were still eating, she started to grab all the sauce bottles and wants to refill, omg we were still eating!! It’s not like you going to need them right now!!At the end she asked me how was the food, I said the bread was dry, she started to argue, what’s the point of asking??? Shame on her

This is a great place for kids, because the airplanes that are taking off gives great distraction to the kids. Very family-friendly, the food is fresh and service is excellent. The Decor is also very well done even though a bit older, but it fits the theme here with its kitschy old school pilot hanger vibes. Will definitely come here again.Update:2024While inflation has made food prices and restaurant pricing increased drastically, aviators still serves up hot food in pre-inflation pricing and pre-shrinkflation portions. That alone, is something I absolutely appreciate in today’s restaurant scene. Food is still great, and service is friendly.

Plenty of window seating and a couple of private booths allow for many parties to gather and watch the planes take off and land. An old favorite to visit when I'm in town.

Food was burnt and staff was slammed. Have been going over the years but this time was disappointing

GREAT NEWS for SACRAMENTO TODAY!! Aviator's Restaurant just received NEW/RENEWED LEASE!! WOO-HOO? Just so happen to stop in today for lunch/breakfast...& learned while I was there the word was out this morning!! Yippee? Of course, we loved our Biscuits & Gravy breakfast along with traditional eggs/sausage/bacon & enjoying the atmosphere of planes, Channel 3 chopper flying in & countless cadet pilots hanging around the tarmac lobby! What a great way to spend a Wednesday!

The atmosphere is fun, watching the airplanes definitely kept my attention. My friend and I were there for nearly 15 minutes before getting acknowledged even though I made eye contact with the waitress. No refills were given to us while we were there. She seemed stretched too thin for the tables she had. My food was overcooked and did not taste great. I did not complain about it to send it back because we had already been there an hour and didn't want to wait any longer. I will give it one more try, but not as good as their reputation said it was.

Food and space was adequate. We had a big party with several tables and made do with the space provided. Our party moved the furniture around to make it work.
