Great sushi. Higher than average price but you get a much better quality for it. Gone twice once for omakase and again for a normal dinner. Both were amazing, great for anyone who wants sushi better than California roll plus topping.

This was my first time visiting. I recommend trying the tempura and pepper fins they were great it had a really nice presentation. I also tried the California roll, which tasted okay, though the rice had a weird color that threw me off a bit. Overall, the service was a positive experience

Came across this fancy classy sushi restaurant after shopping in Galleria Mall and Costco. Their uni and oyster is so fresh. They are definitely one of the best Japanese restaurant in roseville and rocklin area. Saw they have omakase in the menu, will DEFINITELY be back for it.

Today, I ordered the chef’s choice menu, “Omakase,” to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Every dish was delicious, and the presentation was so beautiful—we were very satisfied! The restaurant's interior was clean and stylish, and there was even a traditional Japanese tatami seating area. The staff were very friendly, too. I’ll definitely go back. Highly recommended!

We received excellent service from Pia, she was very knowledgeable about the menu and also brought out some fun surprises on the side. Food came out fast (6:15 PM), super fresh fish. Overall great experience.

Azayaka Sushi is one of those rare finds that effortlessly blends outstanding cuisine with warm, attentive service. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with genuine smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like a valued guest.

The quality of the sushi is top-tier—fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Every dish feels carefully crafted, from the classic nigiri to their more creative specialty rolls. You can really taste the difference in the freshness of the fish and the precision of the preparation.

What truly sets Azayaka apart, though, is the service. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always attentive without being overbearing. Whether you’re a sushi aficionado or trying it for the first time, they take the time to explain the menu and offer thoughtful recommendations.

Azayaka Sushi is a place you’ll want to return to again and again—not just for the delicious food, but for the kind of dining experience that leaves a lasting impression. Highly recommended!

OMAKASE- NO.
My one and only time I’ve been here was for the full omakase experience. I went with 2 other people. We are all adventurous food people and are not new to an omakase menu. That said, it has taken me months to put words to what we endured. I cannot tell you a single place I regret dropping a large amount of money at more than this place. I am very serious when I say that one of us walked out with inedible food wadded up in their napkin, stuffed in our back pocket. Another one went to Jack In the Box as soon as we left. (Same parking lot). But the chef literally laughed at us as he told us we were eating fish sperm.
There was braised octopus, which is supposed to tenderize it, was not chewable. Worst than any Slim Jim you’ve ever chewed on like gum. Flavor of purées and sauces was more for added color I think because the flavors were just not there. It was all a huge no, just NO. I can’t believe how much this non-sense costed us. I literally got to the point of not caring if my not eating, and wasting, the prepared food was disrespectful. It was definitely an experience, just not a good one.
The plain sushi dishes were great. The omakase was horrible.

Pretty fresh sashimi! Loved the bentos for the price, it was a decent portion. Would come back again for more raw scallops / tuna belly.

Amazing food. Loved the sushi and A5 wagyu truffle roll. It melted in my mouth!

This was our first time dining here, and we had an overall positive experience. We ordered the jungle
Party roll, the Fujisan, the fresh roll, a 12 pc
Sashimi plate, and spicy edamame and miso for appetizers. The rolls are unique and all taste differently. Our favorite of the 3 was the Fujisan. Good lively atmosphere. I do feel like the service could be a little more personable and professional. The service felt slightly scrambly and rushed, but giving them grace because they’re new and they were busy. Would definitely go back though!
