One of the best sushis I've had! Everything is good. If you are a sushi lover, this place won't disappoint. I keeps coming back from out of town.

Don't sleep on Azayaka Japanese Fusion!
Had lunch here with the husband and we were both extremely satisfied with our meals. We ordered the chu toro carpaccio, house ramen, chicken katsu, fire dragon roll and double toro roll. The fish was fresh, the katsu was banging and the ramen hit the spot. I wished the toro was a little more fatty and my husband was hoping the ramen would be spicer, but both were still good. Come for lunch, which was when we came, to get their lunch special. A specialized lunch menu that includes 2 appetizers (smaller portion than regular), a main dish or roll, and a drink.
The service was great so we will definitely be back. They do offer omakase that requires advanced reservations, so hopefully we’ll get to try this out soon.

I consider myself a sushi expert and this place is one of the best in Sacramento! It’s only been opened for a year and a half. The nigiri pieces were excellent, as well as the rolls. I can’t wait to go back and try more! We also had excellent service, which was an added bonus. Highly recommend!

It’s surprising that this place isn’t always packed. The quality of the sushi and the unique presentation is outstanding. The prices are reasonable considering the quality and portion size. The dinner speciality rolls are large and the staff will happily guide you if you want to customize them (certain add-ons like soy paper cost extra). The sashimi plates are my favorite… especially the yellowtail!

The restaurant looks nice, the servers are friendly and attentive, and the fish were pretty fresh. However, some of the dishes had a lot to be desired. The worst culprit was the agedashi tofu. I've never had one where the skin was gummy, like it was in a thin layer of mochi or something. I like mochi, but not in this context. It just gave a really bad mouth feel, and no one at our table wanted to take more than a bite of it.
For the chawanmushi, the texture of the egg itself was good. However, they used corn as one of the ingredients, and it's just way too corn forward for a delicate flavor dish like chawanmushi. I could still get past that as a personal preference thing, but then they also include big clams, which adds a lot of the flavor but I got some really large grains of sand, and the last thing I want in a nice smooth steamed egg dish is crunching on hard sand. Yes I'm aware that's a risk that comes with clams no matter how much you clean them, but don't put ingredients that could completely ruin the dish then.
The beef teriyaki was just very dry. The flavor wasn't bad but just left more to be desired.

Perfectly executed fusion sushi! My girlfriend and I tried the Wagyu roll and the Fire Dragon and were just blown away.
The Wagyu roll had a very complex and rich flavor. I loved the sweetness from the fresh crab salad, and it went so well with the earthy truffle and the beef topping on top. It's pricy but it was worth every penny
The dragon roll had a bolder flavor. Sweet, salty, spicy with a REAL kick.
I'd definitely come back if I was planning to treat myself

We were just passing through town and stopped here because we love sushi and the reviews were good. Holy cow were we so happy we stopped. The food was insanely delicious, so fresh, and practically melted in your mouth with every bite. And it was SO fast. We did go at a slower time, but they had our rolls made and out within 10 mins. Staff is incredibly friendly, they don’t bug you 10000x once you have your food and are prompt to get you everything you need. Definitely check this place out for some great food!! Would go back any day!!

Good selection of fish, good fish to rice ratio for rolls and nigiri, excellent specialty nigiri menu, and great service, too!
