Got takeout and the pho was cold, so I came back to warm it up and the guy at the front was very rude and refused to warm it up, then redirected me to another staff member who was very kind and helped us warm up our food. Pho is great but customer service at the cashier deserves improvement.

We came for the fresh made rice noodles, it’s pretty good, my favorite is the fried yam that came with the plate. We got a pho combo and add on pig blood. Everything is good and match the price. If you are in the area, definitely give a try for the fresh food here.

I have only ordered delivery from here, but the food is pretty decent from what I have ordered so far, sometimes the broths or sauces can be more bland/watered down, though, but not always. I wish they had a bit more variety for substitutions for their pho bowls, and that the prices were a bit lower. I think it's dumb that getting it through delivery they raise the prices on the food items on top of the other delivery related fees you have to pay, that seems very unfair, but that is the delivery service that does that I think.

This place is so good and they have amazing and very fresh banh cuon! 🤩 We loved the bun cha and banh xeo, which was beautifully crispy. Great spot to enjoy authentic Vietnamese in sac

Always consistent when we come here. Usually on the weekends it’s busier and sometimes there’s a wait. It hits the spot and we will continue to come back.

Horrible service, will get your orders wrong and try to insist that it's what you ordered (they weren't even the person who took my order?). This has happened so many times it blows my mind on how its even possible. It's disappointing because I used to love this place so much. Once it got renovated/ownership changed, it's gone so downhill. A shame :/

I ordered a Hainan chicken rice plate with a live beetle in it, and the server didn’t apologize at all. To top it off, the bathroom was filthy.

My girlfriend and I chose to eat here for an early valentine's day celebration since we both work on the 14th. A classmate of mine who is Hmong recommend this restaurant when I asked her where the absolute best Hmong, Thai and/or Laos restaurant was in Sacramento. I can say without a doubt that this restaurant meets that ridiculously high bar and has become our new favorite local eatery. The hostess who seated us was very friendly, she took our orders, served our food, cleared our plates and range us up after our wonderful meal while being kind and patient the whole time. The restaurant itself was a great cozy atmosphere to enjoy some warm tom kha gai on a rainy evening. Even moreso because the tom kha gai we had was perhaps the best example of the dish I've ever had. The flavors were all full bodies yet none overpowered another, the perfect blend of sweet and savory with the kaffir adding a wonderful aftertaste. We ordered the crab Rangoon, an item that is often poorly executed but this was anything but, you could tell immediately that it had just come out of the pan as it was light and flakey with tons of flavor with each bite. The pad prik king was last but not least and was as full of flavor as the other 2 dishes and seemed like it had just finished cooking moments before it arrived at our table. The entire dinner was incredibly delicious and as soon as we walked out of the door my girlfriend and I both said that we think we've found our new go-to restaurant. We love supporting local businesses and I highly highly recommend that others try a few dishes from their menu, you won't be disappointed. We ordered our dishes with a spice level of 3 which was the perfect level if you're looking for enough heat to notice it but not so much that it overpowers the other flavors.

Charged 1.50 for a single cup of tea. Not reasonable

Fish Head

I come to Tay Ho a couple times a month. Most of the regular Vietnamese options are availble including pho, bun bo hue, vermicelli bowls and broken rice plates. What they really seem to specialize in tho are the bahn cuon (its in the name of the place, lol). For those unfamiliar its rice rolls that can come with a variety of ingredients such as various meat and veggie options. I usually get one of the special combos that comes with a wide selection. Then you stuff the rolls how you like, top with some cilantro or mint then dip in the fish sauce. Very tasty and light, great for a hot summer day.
I finally tried their banh xeo. Their version was a bit greasy for my liking and had unpeeled shrimp. I dont mind eating shrimps with their shells on, but I know thats a turn off for some.
